2 And he sent a servant to the husbandmen at the time to receive from the husbandmen of the fruits of the vineyard;
3 and they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
4 And again he sent another servant to them, and they wounded him on the head, and treated him shamefully.
5 And he sent another, and they killed him; and many others, and they beat some, and killed some.
6 Having yet one beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, They will reverence my son.
7 (11:8) But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.
8 And seizing him, they killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
