Numbers 35:15-28 These six cities shall be a refuge , both for the children of Israel , and for the stranger , and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

16 H5221 And if he smite [H8689] H3627 him with an instrument H1270 of iron H4191 , so that he die [H8799] H7523 , he is a murderer [H8802] H7523 : the murderer [H8802] H4191 shall surely [H8800] H4191 be put to death [H8714] .

17 H5221 And if he smite [H8689] H3027 him with throwing H68 a stone H4191 , wherewith he may die [H8799] H4191 , and he die [H8799] H7523 , he is a murderer [H8802] H7523 : the murderer [H8802] H4191 shall surely [H8800] H4191 be put to death [H8714] .

18 H5221 Or if he smite [H8689] H3027 him with an hand H3627 weapon H6086 of wood H4191 , wherewith he may die [H8799] H4191 , and he die [H8799] H7523 , he is a murderer [H8802] H7523 : the murderer [H8802] H4191 shall surely [H8800] H4191 be put to death [H8714] .

19 H1350 The revenger [H8802] H1818 of blood H4191 himself shall slay [H8686] H7523 the murderer [H8802] H6293 : when he meeteth [H8800] H1931 him, he H4191 shall slay [H8686] him.

20 H1920 But if he thrust [H8799] H8135 him of hatred H7993 , or hurl [H8689] H6660 at him by laying of wait H4191 , that he die [H8799] ;

21 H342 Or in enmity H5221 smite [H8689] H3027 him with his hand H4191 , that he die [H8799] H5221 : he that smote [H8688] H4191 him shall surely [H8800] H4191 be put to death [H8714] H7523 ; for he is a murderer [H8802] H1350 : the revenger [H8802] H1818 of blood H4191 shall slay [H8686] H7523 the murderer [H8802] H6293 , when he meeteth [H8800] him.

22 H1920 But if he thrust [H8804] H6621 him suddenly H3808 without H342 enmity H7993 , or have cast [H8689] H3627 upon him any thing H6660 without laying of wait,

23 H68 Or with any stone H4191 , wherewith a man may die [H8799] H7200 , seeing [H8800] H3808 him not H5307 , and cast [H8686] H4191 it upon him, that he die [H8799] H341 , and was not his enemy [H8802] H1245 , neither sought [H8764] H7451 his harm:

24 H5712 Then the congregation H8199 shall judge [H8804] H5221 between the slayer [H8688] H1350 and the revenger [H8802] H1818 of blood H4941 according to these judgments:

25 H5712 And the congregation H5337 shall deliver [H8689] H7523 the slayer [H8802] H3027 out of the hand H1350 of the revenger [H8802] H1818 of blood H5712 , and the congregation H7725 shall restore [H8689] H5892 him to the city H4733 of his refuge H5127 , whither he was fled [H8804] H3427 : and he shall abide [H8804] H4194 in it unto the death H1419 of the high H3548 priest H4886 , which was anointed [H8804] H6944 with the holy H8081 oil.

26 H7523 But if the slayer [H8802] H3318 shall at any time [H8800] H3318 come [H8799] H1366 without the border H5892 of the city H4733 of his refuge H5127 , whither he was fled [H8799] ;

27 H1350 And the revenger [H8802] H1818 of blood H4672 find [H8804] H2351 him without H1366 the borders H5892 of the city H4733 of his refuge H1350 , and the revenger [H8802] H1818 of blood H7523 kill [H8804] H7523 the slayer [H8802] H1818 ; he shall not be guilty of blood:

28 H3427 Because he should have remained [H8799] H5892 in the city H4733 of his refuge H4194 until the death H1419 of the high H3548 priest H310 : but after H4194 the death H1419 of the high H3548 priest H7523 the slayer [H8802] H7725 shall return [H8799] H776 into the land H272 of his possession.
