Numbers 35:15-28 For the children of Israel, and for the stranger and for the sojourner among them, shall these six cities be for refuge; that every one that killeth any person unwittingly may flee thither.

15 H1121 For the children H3478 of Israel, H1616 and for the stranger H1616 and for the sojourner H8432 among H8337 them, shall these six H5892 cities H4733 be for refuge; H5221 that every one that killeth H5315 any person H7684 unwittingly H5127 may flee thither.

16 H5221 But if he smote H3627 him with an instrument H1270 of iron, H4191 so that he died, H7523 he is a murderer: H7523 the murderer H4191 shall surely H4191 be put to death.

17 H5221 And if he smote H68 him with a stone H3027 in the hand, H4191 whereby a man may die, H4191 and he died, H7523 he is a murderer: H7523 the murderer H4191 shall surely H4191 be put to death.

18 H5221 Or if he smote H3627 him with a weapon H6086 of wood H3027 in the hand, H4191 whereby a man may die, H4191 and he died, H7523 he is a murderer: H7523 the murderer H4191 shall surely H4191 be put to death.

19 H1818 The avenger of blood H7523 shall himself put the murderer H4191 to death: H1931 when he H6293 meeteth H1931 him, he H4191 shall put him to death.

20 H1920 And if he thrust H8135 him of hatred, H7993 or hurled H6660 at him, lying in wait, H4191 so that he died,

21 H342 or in enmity H5221 smote H3027 him with his hand, H4191 so that he died; H5221 he that smote H4191 him shall surely H4191 be put to death; H7523 he is a murderer: H1350 the avenger H1818 of blood H7523 shall put the murderer H4191 to death, H6293 when he meeteth him.

22 H1920 But if he thrust H6621 him suddenly H3808 without H342 enmity, H7993 or hurled H3627 upon him anything H6660 without lying in wait,

23 H68 or with any stone, H4191 whereby a man may die, H7200 seeing H3808 him not, H5307 and cast H4191 it upon him, so that he died, H341 and he was not his enemy, H1245 neither sought H7451 his harm;

24 H5712 then the congregation H8199 shall judge H5221 between the smiter H1350 and the avenger H1818 of blood H4941 according to these ordinances;

25 H5712 and the congregation H5337 shall deliver H7523 the manslayer H3027 out of the hand H1350 of the avenger H1818 of blood, H5712 and the congregation H7725 shall restore H5892 him to his city H4733 of refuge, H5127 whither he was fled: H3427 and he shall dwell H4194 therein until the death H1419 of the high H3548 priest, H4886 who was anointed H6944 with the holy H8081 oil.

26 H7523 But if the manslayer H3318 shall at any time H3318 go H1366 beyond the border H5892 of his city H4733 of refuge, H5127 whither he fleeth,

27 H1350 and the avenger H1818 of blood H4672 find H2351 him without H1366 the border H5892 of his city H4733 of refuge, H1350 and the avenger H1818 of blood H7523 slay H7523 the manslayer; H1818 he shall not be guilty of blood,

28 H3427 because he should have remained H5892 in his city H4733 of refuge H4194 until the death H1419 of the high H3548 priest: H310 but after H4194 the death H1419 of the high H3548 priest H7523 the manslayer H7725 shall return H776 into the land H272 of his possession.
