2 Samuel 10:9-14 וירא saw יואב When Joab כי that היתה was אליו against פני the front המלחמה of the battle מפנים him before ומאחור and behind, ויבחר he chose מכל of all בחורי בישׂראל of Israel, ויערך and put in array לקראת against ארם׃ the Syrians:

9 H7200 וירא saw H3097 יואב When Joab H3588 כי that H1961 היתה was H413 אליו against H6440 פני the front H4421 המלחמה of the battle H6440 מפנים him before H268 ומאחור and behind, H977 ויבחר he chose H3605 מכל of all H970 בחורי H3478 בישׂראל of Israel, H6186 ויערך and put in array H7125 לקראת against H758 ארם׃ the Syrians:

10 H853 ואת H3499 יתר And the rest H5971 העם of the people H5414 נתן he delivered H3027 ביד into the hand H52 אבשׁי of Abishai H251 אחיו his brother, H6186 ויערך that he might put in array H7125 לקראת against H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון׃ of Ammon.

11 H559 ויאמר And he said, H518 אם If H2388 תחזק be too strong H758 ארם the Syrians H4480 ממני for H1961 והיתה me, then thou shalt H3467 לי לישׁועה and help H518 ואם me: but if H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H2388 יחזקו be too strong H4480 ממך for H1980 והלכתי thee, then I will come H3467 להושׁיע׃

12 H2388 חזק Be of good courage, H2388 ונתחזק and let us play the men H1157 בעד for H5971 עמנו our people, H1157 ובעד and for H5892 ערי the cities H430 אלהינו of our God: H3068 ויהוה and the LORD H6213 יעשׂה do H2896 הטוב him good. H5869 בעיניו׃ that which seemeth

13 H5066 ויגשׁ drew nigh, H3097 יואב And Joab H5971 והעם and the people H834 אשׁר that H5973 עמו with H4421 למלחמה him, unto the battle H758 בארם against the Syrians: H5127 וינסו and they fled H6440 מפניו׃ before

14 H1121 ובני And when the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H7200 ראו saw H3588 כי that H5127 נס were fled, H758 ארם the Syrians H5127 וינסו then fled H6440 מפני they also before H52 אבישׁי Abishai, H935 ויבאו and entered H5892 העיר into the city. H7725 וישׁב returned H3097 יואב So Joab H5921 מעל from H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון of Ammon, H935 ויבא and came H3389 ירושׁלם׃ to Jerusalem.
