1 Samuel 23:7-13 ויגד And it was told לשׁאול Saul כי that בא was come דוד David קעילה to Keilah. ויאמר said, שׁאול And Saul נכר hath delivered אתו אלהים God בידי him into mine hand; כי for נסגר he is shut in, לבוא by entering בעיר into a town דלתים that hath gates ובריח׃ and bars.

7 H5046 ויגד And it was told H7586 לשׁאול Saul H3588 כי that H935 בא was come H1732 דוד David H7084 קעילה to Keilah. H559 ויאמר said, H7586 שׁאול And Saul H5234 נכר hath delivered H853 אתו H430 אלהים God H3027 בידי him into mine hand; H3588 כי for H5462 נסגר he is shut in, H935 לבוא by entering H5892 בעיר into a town H1817 דלתים that hath gates H1280 ובריח׃ and bars.

8 H8085 וישׁמע called H7586 שׁאול And Saul H853 את H3605 כל all H5971 העם the people H4421 למלחמה together to war, H3381 לרדת to go down H7084 קעילה to Keilah, H6696 לצור to besiege H413 אל to besiege H1732 דוד David H413 ואל H376 אנשׁיו׃ and his men.

9 H3045 וידע knew H1732 דוד And David H3588 כי that H5921 עליו against H7586 שׁאול Saul H2790 מחרישׁ secretly practiced H7451 הרעה mischief H559 ויאמר him; and he said H413 אל to H54 אביתר Abiathar H3548 הכהן the priest, H5066 הגישׁה Bring hither H646 האפוד׃ the ephod.

10 H559 ויאמר Then said H1732 דוד David, H3068 יהוה O LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H8085 שׁמע hath certainly heard H8085 שׁמע hath certainly heard H5650 עבדך thy servant H3588 כי that H1245 מבקשׁ seeketh H7586 שׁאול Saul H935 לבוא to come H413 אל to H7084 קעילה Keilah, H7843 לשׁחת to destroy H5892 לעיר the city H5668 בעבורי׃ for my sake.

11 H5462 היסגרני deliver me up H1167 בעלי Will the men H7084 קעילה of Keilah H3027 בידו into his hand? H3381 הירד come down, H7586 שׁאול will Saul H834 כאשׁר as H8085 שׁמע hath heard? H5650 עבדך thy servant H3068 יהוה O LORD H430 אלהי God H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H5046 הגד tell H4994 נא I beseech thee, H5650 לעבדך thy servant. H559 ויאמר said, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H3381 ירד׃ He will come down.

12 H559 ויאמר Then said H1732 דוד David, H5462 היסגרו deliver H1167 בעלי Will the men H7084 קעילה of Keilah H853 אתי H853 ואת H376 אנשׁי me and my men H3027 ביד into the hand H7586 שׁאול of Saul? H559 ויאמר said, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H5462 יסגירו׃ They will deliver up.

13 H6965 ויקם arose H1732 דוד Then David H376 ואנשׁיו and his men, H8337 כשׁשׁ about six H3967 מאות H376 אישׁ H3318 ויצאו and departed H7084 מקעלה H1980 ויתהלכו and went H834 באשׁר whithersoever H1980 יתהלכו they could go. H7586 ולשׁאול Saul H5046 הגד And it was told H3588 כי that H4422 נמלט was escaped H1732 דוד David H7084 מקעילה H2308 ויחדל and he forbore H3318 לצאת׃ to go forth.
