Isaiah 32

THE REIGN OF JUSTNESS
Behold, a sovereign reigns in justness and governors govern in judgment: 2 and man is as a refuge from the wind and a covert from the flood; as rivulets of water in a parch as the shadow of a heavy rock in a languid land: 3 and the eyes of them who see, look not away; and the ears of them who hear, hearken: 4 and the heart of the hasty discerns knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers hastens to word clearly: 5 neither is the fool called to volunteer any more nor the crafty said to be opulent: 6 for the fool words folly and his heart works mischief - to work profanity and to word error against Yah Veh - to pour the soul of the famished; and causes the drink of the thirsty to lack: 7 and the instruments of the crafty are evil: he counsels intrigue to despoil the humble with false sayings - even when the needy word judgment. 8 and the volunteer counsels voluntarily; and by volunteering he rises. 9
RELAXED WOMEN AND CONFIDENT DAUGHTERS
Rise up, you relaxed women; hear my voice, you confident daughters; hearken to my saying, 10 Many days and years you quiver - you confide: for the crop is finished off; the ingathering comes not. 11 Tremble, you relaxed women; quiver, you who confide: strip, and strip bare with a girdle on the loins. 12 They chop for the breasts for the fields of desire - for the fruitbearing vine: 13 on the soil of my people thorns and briers ascend; yes, on all the houses of joy in the city of jumping for joy: 14 surely the citadels are abandoned and the multitude of the city forsaken; the mounds and lookout towers become caves eternally - a joy of wild runners - a pasture of droves; 15 until the spirit pours out on us from on high, and the wilderness becomes an orchard/Karmel, and the orchard/Karmel is fabricated for a forest. 16 Then judgment tabernacles in the wilderness, and justness settles in the orchard/Karmel: 17 And the work of justness becomes shalom; and the service of justness rest and confidence eternally: 18 and my people settle in a habitation of shalom of rest and in confident tabernacles and in resting places of relaxation; 19 though it hails, descending on the forest and the city lowers into a lowland. 20 Blithesome - you who seed beside all waters, who send forth the feet of the ox and the burro.
