Daniel 3:1-30 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

2 H5020 Then Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king H7972 sent H3673 to gather together H324 the satraps, H5460 the deputies, H6347 and the governors, H148 the judges, H1411 the treasurers, H1884 the counsellors, H8614 the sheriffs, H3606 and all H7984 the rulers H4083 of the provinces, H858 to come H2597 to the dedication H6755 of the image H5020 which Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king H6966 had set up.

3 H116 Then H324 the satraps, H5460 the deputies, H6347 and the governors, H148 the judges, H1411 the treasurers, H1884 the counsellors, H8614 the sheriffs, H3606 and all H7984 the rulers H4083 of the provinces, H3673 were gathered together H2597 unto the dedication H6755 of the image H5020 that Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king H6966 had set up; H6966 and they stood H6903 before H6755 the image H5020 that Nebuchadnezzar H6966 had set up.

4 H3744 Then the herald H7123 cried H2429 aloud, H560 To you it is commanded, H5972 O peoples, H524 nations, H3961 and languages,

5 H5732 that at what time H8086 ye hear H7032 the sound H7162 of the cornet, H4953 flute, H7030 harp, H5443 sackbut, H6460 psaltery, H5481 dulcimer, H3606 and all H2178 kinds H2170 of music, H5308 ye fall down H5457 and worship H1722 the golden H6755 image H5020 that Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king H6966 hath set up;

6 H4479 and whoso H5308 falleth H3809 not H5308 down H5457 and worshippeth H8160 shall the same hour H7412 be cast H1459 into the midst H3345 of a burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace.

7 H6903 Therefore H2166 at that time, H1768 when H3606 all H5972 the peoples H8086 heard H7032 the sound H7162 of the cornet, H4953 flute, H7030 harp, H5443 sackbut, H6460 psaltery, H3606 and all H2178 kinds H2170 of music, H3606 all H5972 the peoples, H524 the nations, H3961 and the languages, H5308 fell down H5457 and worshipped H1722 the golden H6755 image H5020 that Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king H6966 had set up.

8 H6903 Wherefore H1836 at that H2166 time H1400 certain H3779 Chaldeans H7127 came near, H7170 and brought accusation H3062 against the Jews.

9 H6032 They answered H560 and said H5020 to Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king, H4430 O king, H2418 live H5957 for ever.

10 H607 Thou, H4430 O king, H7761 hast made H2942 a decree, H3606 that every H606 man H8086 that shall hear H7032 the sound H7162 of the cornet, H4953 flute, H7030 harp, H5443 sackbut, H6460 psaltery, H5481 and dulcimer, H3606 and all H2178 kinds H2170 of music, H5308 shall fall down H5457 and worship H1722 the golden H6755 image;

11 H4479 and whoso H5308 falleth H3809 not H5308 down H5457 and worshippeth, H7412 shall be cast H1459 into the midst H3345 of a burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace.

12 H383 There are H1400 certain H3062 Jews H3487 whom H4483 thou hast appointed H5922 over H5673 the affairs H4083 of the province H895 of Babylon: H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego; H479 these H1400 men, H4430 O king, H7761 have H3809 not H2942 regarded H5922 thee: H6399 they serve H3809 not H426 thy gods, H3809 nor H5457 worship H1722 the golden H6755 image H6966 which thou hast set up.

13 H116 Then H5020 Nebuchadnezzar H7266 in his rage H2528 and fury H560 commanded H858 to bring H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego. H116 Then H858 they brought H479 these H1400 men H6925 before H4430 the king.

14 H5020 Nebuchadnezzar H6032 answered H560 and said H6656 unto them, Is it of purpose, H7715 O Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego, H383 that ye H6399 serve H3809 not H426 my god, H3809 nor H5457 worship H1722 the golden H6755 image H6966 which I have set up?

15 H3705 Now H2006 if H383 ye be H6263 ready H5732 that at what time H8086 ye hear H7032 the sound H7162 of the cornet, H4953 flute, H7030 harp, H5443 sackbut, H6460 psaltery, H5481 and dulcimer, H3606 and all H2178 kinds H2170 of music, H5308 ye fall down H5457 and worship H6755 the image H5648 which I have made, H2006 well: but if H5457 ye worship H3809 not, H7412 ye shall be cast H8160 the same hour H1459 into the midst H3345 of a burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace; H4479 and who H426 is that god H7804 that shall deliver H4481 you out of H3028 my hands?

16 H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego H6032 answered H560 and said H4430 to the king, H5020 O Nebuchadnezzar, H586 we H3809 have no H2818 need H8421 to answer H5922 thee in H1836 this H6600 matter.

17 H2006 If H426 it be so, our God H586 whom we H6399 serve H383 is H3202 able H7804 to deliver H4481 us from H3345 the burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace; H4481 and H7804 he will deliver H4481 us out of H3028 thy hand, H4430 O king.

18 H2006 But if H3809 not, H1934 be it H3046 known H4430 unto thee, O king, H383 that we will H3809 not H6399 serve H426 thy gods, H3809 nor H5457 worship H1722 the golden H6755 image H6966 which thou hast set up.

19 H116 Then H5020 was Nebuchadnezzar H4391 full H2528 of fury, H6755 and the form H600 of his visage H8133 was changed H5922 against H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego: H6032 therefore he spake, H560 and commanded H228 that they should heat H861 the furnace H2298 H7655 seven times H5922 more H1768 than H2370 it was wont H228 to be heated.

20 H560 And he commanded H2429 certain H1401 mighty H1400 men H2429 that were in his army H3729 to bind H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego, H7412 and to cast H3345 them into the burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace.

21 H116 Then H479 these H1400 men H3729 were bound H6361 in their hosen, H5622 their tunics, H3737 and their mantles, H3831 and their other garments, H7412 and were cast H1459 into the midst H3345 of the burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace.

22 H3606 Therefore H4481 because H4430 the king's H4406 commandment H2685 was urgent, H861 and the furnace H3493 exceeding H228 hot, H7631 the flame H5135 of the fire H6992 slew H479 those H1400 men H5267 that took up H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego.

23 H479 And these H8532 three H1400 men, H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego, H5308 fell down H3729 bound H1459 into the midst H3345 of the burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace.

24 H116 Then H5020 Nebuchadnezzar H4430 the king H8429 was astonished, H6966 and rose up H927 in haste: H6032 he spake H560 and said H1907 unto his counsellors, H3809 Did not H7412 we cast H8532 three H1400 men H3729 bound H1459 into the midst H5135 of the fire? H6032 They answered H560 and said H4430 unto the king, H3330 True, H4430 O king.

25 H6032 He answered H560 and said, H1888 Lo, H576 I H2370 see H703 four H1400 men H8271 loose, H1981 walking H1459 in the midst H5135 of the fire, H383 and they have H3809 no H2257 hurt; H7299 and the aspect H7244 of the fourth H1821 is like H1247 a son H426 of the gods.

26 H116 Then H5020 Nebuchadnezzar H7127 came near H8651 to the mouth H3345 of the burning H5135 fiery H861 furnace: H6032 he spake H560 and said, H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego, H5649 ye servants H5943 of the Most High H426 God, H5312 come forth, H858 and come H116 hither. Then H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego H5312 came forth H4481 out of H1459 the midst H5135 of the fire.

27 H324 And the satraps, H5460 the deputies, H6347 and the governors, H4430 and the king's H1907 counsellors, H3673 being gathered together, H2370 saw H479 these H1400 men, H5135 that the fire H3809 had no H7981 power H1655 upon their bodies, H3809 nor H8177 was the hair H7217 of their head H2761 singed, H3809 neither H5622 were their hosen H8133 changed, H3809 nor H7382 had the smell H5135 of fire H5709 passed on them.

28 H5020 Nebuchadnezzar H6032 spake H560 and said, H1289 Blessed H426 be the God H7715 of Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego, H7972 who hath sent H4398 his angel, H7804 and delivered H5649 his servants H7365 that trusted H5922 in him, H8133 and have changed H4430 the king's H4406 word, H3052 and have yielded H1655 their bodies, H3809 that they might not H6399 serve H3809 nor H5457 worship H3606 any H426 god, H3861 except H426 their own God.

29 H4481 Therefore I H7761 make H2942 a decree, H3606 that every H5972 people, H524 nation, H3961 and language, H560 which speak H7960 anything amiss H5922 against H426 the God H7715 of Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego, H5648 shall be cut H1917 in pieces, H1005 and their houses H7739 shall be made H5122 a dunghill; H6903 because H383 there is H3809 no H321 other H426 god H383 that is H5338 able to deliver H1836 after this sort.

30 H116 Then H4430 the king H6744 promoted H7715 Shadrach, H4336 Meshach, H5665 and Abed-nego H4083 in the province H895 of Babylon.
