ABU(i)
And the child grew, and became strong, being filled with wisdom; and the favor of God was upon him.
And his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
And when he was twelve years old, they having gone up according to the custom of the feast,
and completed the days, as they returned, Jesus the child remained behind in Jerusalem. And his parents knew it not,
but supposing that he was in the company, went a day's journey, and sought him among their kindred and acquaintance;
and not finding him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking him.
And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
And all that heard him, were astonished at his understanding and answers.
And seeing him they were amazed. And his mother said to him: Child, why didst thou thus deal with us? Behold, thy father and I sought thee, sorrowing.
And he said to them: How is it that ye sought me? Did ye not know, that I must be in my Father's house?
And they understood not the saying which he spoke to them.
And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them. And his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
