A Psalm: a Song.} Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him. ² As smoke is driven away, You drive them away; as wax melts before the fire, let the wicked perish in the presence of God. ³ But the righteous shall be glad and rejoice before God, they shall be merry and joyful. ⁴ Sing to God, sing praises to his name: extol him who rides upon the heavens by his name, the LORD, and rejoice before him. ⁵ A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. ⁶ God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land. ⁷ God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness... Selah. ⁸ The earth shook, and the heavens dropped before God, this Sinai before God, the God of Israel. ⁹ You caused abundant rain to fall, O God. When your inheritance was weary you revived it. ¹⁰ Your creatures dwell in it; You have in Your goodness prepared for the poor. ¹¹ The Lord gave the word. Great was the company of those who proclaimed it. ¹² Kings of armies fled away; and she who stayed at home divided the plunder. ¹³ while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold. ¹⁴ When the Almighty scattered the kings there, there was snow on Mt. Zalmon. ¹⁵ The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains, the mountains of Bashan are rugged. ¹⁶ Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, the LORD will dwell there forever. ¹⁷ The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary. ¹⁸ You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: you have received gifts for men; yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them. ¹⁹ Praise be to the Lord, who is our support day by day, even the God of our salvation. Selah. ²⁰ Our God is a God of deliverances, and to the the Sovereign LORD belong escapes from death. ²¹ Yea, God will crush the head of His enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks on in his guilt. ²² The Lord said, "I will bring them back from Bashan; I will bring them back from the depths of the sea, ²³ so that you strike your foot in the blood of your enemies, and the tongue of your dogs in the same. ²⁴ They have seen your processions, God, even the processions of my God, my King, into the sanctuary. ²⁵ In front are the singers, Behind are the harpers, In the midst of damsels playing on timbrels: ²⁶ "Bless God in the congregations, even the Lord in the assembly of Israel." ²⁷ There is little Benjamin ruling them, with the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali. ²⁸ Summon the power of your God, the power, God, that you have shown us. ²⁹ Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring gifts to you. ³⁰ Rebuke the beasts in the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples, trampling the pieces of silver. He thunders with a mighty voice. ³⁴ Ascribe power to God, whose glory is over Israel, whose power is in the skies. ³⁵ You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God!
