Mark 10:17-31

MSTC(i) 17 And when he was come out into the way, there came one running and kneeled to him, and asked him, "Good Master, what shall I do, that I may inherit eternal life?" 18 Jesus said to him, "Why callest thou me good? There is no man good but one, which is God. 19 Thou knowest the commandments: break not matrimony, kill not, steal not, bear no false witness, defraud no man, honour thy father and thy mother." 20 He answered and said to him, "Master, all these I have observed from my youth." 21 Jesus beheld him, and had a favour to him, and said unto him, "One thing is lacking unto thee. Go, and sell all that thou hast, and give it to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me, and take up thy cross on thee." 22 But he was discomforted with that saying, and went away mourning, for he had great possessions. 23 And Jesus looked round about, and said unto his disciples, "What a hard thing it is for them that have riches enter into the kingdom of God." 24 And his disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again, and said unto them, "Children: how hard is it for them, that trust in their riches, to enter into the kingdom of God? 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of an needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." 26 And they were astonished out of measure, saying between themselves, "Who then can be saved?" 27 Jesus looked upon them, and said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." 28 And Peter began to say unto him, "Lo, we have forsaken all, and have followed thee." 29 Jesus answered and said, "Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath forsaketh house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, other children, or lands, for my sake and the gospel's, 30 which shall not receive a hundred fold now in this life, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers and children, and lands with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life. 31 Many that are first, shall be last. And the last, first."
