44 Now he said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, being still together with you, that it is essential for all things to be fulfilled, which have been written in the Law of Moses and the prophets and the Psalms, concerning me.
45 Then he opened their mind to understand the Scriptures.
46 And he said to them, Thus it has been written, that it was essential for the Christ to suffer and to rise up from the dead in the third day; 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.
