1 Chronicles 24:1-6

  2 H5070 But Nadab H30 and Abihu H4191 died [H8799]   H6440 before H1 their father H1121 , and had no children H499 : therefore Eleazar H385 and Ithamar H3547 executed the priest's office [H8762]  .

  3 H1732 And David H2505 distributed [H8735]   H6659 them, both Zadok H1121 of the sons H499 of Eleazar H288 , and Ahimelech H1121 of the sons H385 of Ithamar H6486 , according to their offices H5656 in their service.

  4 H7227 And there were more H7218 chief H1397 men H4672 found [H8735]   H1121 of the sons H499 of Eleazar H1121 than of the sons H385 of Ithamar H2505 ; and thus were they divided [H8799]   H1121 . Among the sons H499 of Eleazar H8337 there were sixteen H6240   H7218 chief men H1004 of the house H1 of their fathers H8083 , and eight H1121 among the sons H385 of Ithamar H1004 according to the house H1 of their fathers.

  5 H2505 Thus were they divided [H8799]   H1486 by lot H428 , one sort H428 with another H8269 ; for the governors H6944 of the sanctuary H8269 , and governors H430 of the house of God H1121 , were of the sons H499 of Eleazar H1121 , and of the sons H385 of Ithamar.
