Deuteronomy 31:16-22 And the LORD said unto Moses , Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers ; and this people will rise up , and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land , whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.

17 H639 Then my anger H2734 shall be kindled [H8804] H3117 against them in that day H5800 , and I will forsake [H8804] H5641 them, and I will hide [H8689] H6440 my face H398 from them, and they shall be devoured [H8800] H7227 , and many H7451 evils H6869 and troubles H4672 shall befall [H8804] H559 them; so that they will say [H8804] H3117 in that day H7451 , Are not these evils H4672 come [H8804] H430 upon us, because our God H7130 is not among us?

18 H5641 And I will surely [H8687] H5641 hide [H8686] H6440 my face H3117 in that day H7451 for all the evils H6213 which they shall have wrought [H8804] H3588 , in that H6437 they are turned [H8804] H312 unto other H430 gods.

19 H3789 Now therefore write [H8798] H7892 ye this song H3925 for you, and teach [H8761] H1121 it the children H3478 of Israel H7760 : put [H8798] H6310 it in their mouths H7892 , that this song H5707 may be a witness H1121 for me against the children H3478 of Israel.

20 H935 For when I shall have brought [H8686] H127 them into the land H7650 which I sware [H8738] H1 unto their fathers H2100 , that floweth [H8802] H2461 with milk H1706 and honey H398 ; and they shall have eaten [H8804] H7646 and filled [H8804] H1878 themselves, and waxen fat [H8804] H6437 ; then will they turn [H8804] H312 unto other H430 gods H5647 , and serve [H8804] H5006 them, and provoke [H8765] H6565 me, and break [H8689] H1285 my covenant.

21 H7227 And it shall come to pass, when many H7451 evils H6869 and troubles H4672 are befallen [H8799] H7892 them, that this song H6030 shall testify [H8804] H6440 against H5707 them as a witness H7911 ; for it shall not be forgotten [H8735] H6310 out of the mouths H2233 of their seed H3045 : for I know [H8804] H3336 their imagination H6213 which they go about [H8802] H3117 , even now H935 , before I have brought [H8686] H776 them into the land H7650 which I sware [H8738] .

22 H4872 Moses H3789 therefore wrote [H8799] H7892 this song H3117 the same day H3925 , and taught [H8762] H1121 it the children H3478 of Israel.
