Mark 15:1 Then as soon as it was dawn (or: right away, early in the morning,) the chief (or: ranking) priests, upon forming (convening) a council (or: holding and conducting consultation; other MSS: having prepared {= reached} a decision upon counsel) with the elders, the scribes (scholars; Torah specialists) and the whole Sanhedrin, are binding Jesus. They conducted Him away and turned Him over to Pilate.
