Joshua 20:9 אלה These היו were ערי the cities המועדה appointed לכל for all בני the children ישׂראל of Israel, ולגר and for the stranger הגר that sojourneth בתוכם among לנוס might flee שׁמה thither, כל them, that whosoever מכה killeth נפשׁ person בשׁגגה at unawares ולא and not ימות die ביד by the hand גאל of the avenger הדם of blood, עד until עמדו he stood לפני before העדה׃ the congregation.
