THE DAY THE SUN STOOD STILL And so be it, Adoni Sedeq sovereign of Yeru Shalem hears that Yah Shua captured Ay and devoted it - as he worked to Yericho and her sovereign thus he worked to Ay and her sovereign - and how the settlers of Gibon shalam with Yisra El and are among them: 2 and they awe mightily because Gibon is a great city - as one of the royal cities; and because it is greater than Ay; and all the men thereof are mighty. 3 And Adoni Sedeq sovereign of Yeru Shalem sends to Hoham sovereign of Hebron and to Piram sovereign of Yarmuth and to Yaphia sovereign of Lachish and to Debir sovereign of Eglon, saying, 4 Ascend to me and help me smite Gibon: for it shalams with Yah Shua and with the sons of Yisra El. 5 So the five sovereigns of the Emoriy - the sovereign of Yeru Shalem, the sovereign of Hebron, the sovereign of Yarmuth, the sovereign of Lachish, the sovereign of Eglon, gather together and ascend - they and all their camps and encamp against Gibon and fight. 6 And the men of Gibon send to Yah Shua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not your hand from your servants; ascend to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the sovereigns of the Emoriy settling in the mountains gather together against us. 7 So Yah Shua ascends from Gilgal - he and all the people of war with him and all the mighty of valour. 8 And Yah Veh says to Yah Shua, Awe them not: for I give them into your hand; not a man of them stands at your face. 9 And Yah Shua comes to them suddenly and ascends from Gilgal all night: 10 and Yah Veh agitates them at the face of Yisra El and smites them with a great stroke at Gibon; and pursues them along the way of the ascent of Beth Horon and smites them to Azeqah and to Maqqedah. 11 And so be it, as they flee the face of Yisra El and are in the descent of Beth Horon, Yah Veh casts great stones from the heavens on them to Azeqah, and they die: and they who died with hailstones are greater than they whom the sons of Yisra El slaughtered with the sword. 12 Yah Shua words to Yah Veh in the day Yah Veh gives the Emoriy at the face of the sons of Yisra El: and he says in the eyes of Yisra El, Sun, stand still on Gibon! and, Moon, in the valley of Ayalon! 13 And the sun stands still and the moon stays until the goyim avenge themselves on their enemies. Is not this inscribed in the scroll of the straight? So the sun stands still midst the heavens, and hastens to not go down about an integrious day. 14 And there became no day like that at the face of it or after it, that Yah Veh hearkened to the voice of a man: for Yah Veh fights for Yisra El. 15 And Yah Shua returns - and all Yisra El with him, to the camp to Gilgal. 16
FIVE SOVEREIGNS HIDE And these five sovereigns flee and hide in a cave at Maqqedah. 17 And Yah Shua is told, saying, The five sovereigns are found hidden in a cave at Maqqedah. 18 And Yah Shua says, Roll great stones on the mouth of the cave, and oversee men by it to guard them: 19 and you stay not; but pursue your enemies and curtail them; give them not to enter into their cities: for Yah Veh your Elohim gives them into your hand. 20 And so be it, Yah Shua and the sons of Yisra El finish them off with a mighty great stroke until they are consumed; and the surviving survivors enter into fortified cities: 21 and all the people return to Yah Shua to the camp at Maqqedah in shalom: none pointen his tongue against any man of the sons of Yisra El. 22
FIVE SOVEREIGNS SLAUGHTERED Yah Shua says, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring those five sovereigns to me from the cave. 23 - and thus they work, and bring those five sovereigns to him from the cave: the sovereign of Yeru Shalem, the sovereign of Hebron, the sovereign of Yarmuth, the sovereign of Lachish, and the sovereign of Eglon. 24 And so be it, they bring those sovereigns to Yah Shua; and Yah Shua calls for all the men of Yisra El, and says to the commanders of the men of war who come with him, Approach! Set your feet on the necks of these sovereigns. - and they approach and set their feet on their necks. 25 And Yah Shua says to them, Neither awe nor terrify! Strengthen! Encourage! For thus Yah Veh works to all your enemies whom you fight. 26 And afterward Yah Shua smites them and deathifies them and hangs them on five trees: and they hang on the trees until the evening: 27 and so be it, at the time of the going down of the sun Yah Shua misvahs: and they bring them down off the trees and cast them into the cave wherein they hid; and set great stones in the mouth of the cave until this very day. 28 And that day Yah Shua captures Maqqedah, and smites it with the mouth of the sword; and devotes the sovereign thereof - them, and all the souls therein; - no survivors survive: and he works to the sovereign of Maqqedah as he worked to the sovereign of Yericho. 29
YAH SHUA CONQUERS SOUTHERN PELESHETH And Yah Shua and all Yisra El pass from Maqqedah to Libnah; and fights Libnah: 30 and Yah Veh also gives it and the sovereign thereof into the hand of Yisra El; and he smites it and all the souls therein with the mouth of the sword; no survivors survive: and he works to the sovereign thereof as he worked to the sovereign of Yericho. 31 And Yah Shua and all Yisra El passes from Libnah to Lachish; and encamps against it, and fights against it: 32 and Yah Veh gives Lachish into the hand of Yisra El - who capture it on the second day and smites it and all the souls therein with the mouth of the sword according to all he worked to Libnah. 33 Horam sovereign of Gezer ascends to help Lachish; and Yah Shua smites him and his people until no survivors survive. 34 And from Lachish, Yah Shua and all Yisra El pass to Eglon; and they encamp against it, and fight against it: 35 and they capture it that day and smite it with the mouth of the sword - and he devotes all the souls therein that day, according to all he worked to Lachish. 36 And Yah Shua and all Yisra El ascend from Eglon, to Hebron; and they fight against it 37 and capture it: and smite it and the sovereign thereof and all the cities thereof and all the souls therein with the mouth of the sword; no survivors survive: according to all he worked to Eglon; but devoted it and all the souls therein. 38 And Yah Shua and all Yisra El return to Debir; and fights against it: 39 and he captures it and the sovereign thereof and all the cities thereof; and they smite them with the mouth of the sword, and devote all the souls therein; no survivors survive: as he worked to Hebron, thus he works to Debir and to the sovereign thereof as he also worked to Libnah and to her sovereign. 40 So Yah Shua smites all the land of the mountains and of the south and of the lowland and of the springs and all their sovereigns: no survivors survive, but devotes all having breath, as Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El misvahed. 41 And Yah Shua smites them from Qadesh Barnea to Azzah and all the land of Goshen to Gibon: 42 and Yah Shua captures all these sovereigns and their land at one time; because Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El fights for Yisra El. 43 And Yah Shua and all Yisra El return to the camp to Gilgal.
