YIRME YAH IS PERSECUTED
And Pashchur the son of Immer the priest who is also eminent overseer in the house of Yah Veh hears Yirme Yah prophesying these words: 2 and Pashchur smites Yirme Yah the prophet and gives him in the stockades in the most high portal of Ben Yamin by the house of Yah Veh. 3 And so be it, on the morrow, Pashchur brings Yirme Yah from the stockades; and Yirme Yah says to him, Yah Veh calls not your name Pashchur, but Magor Mis Sabib/Terror All Around: 4 for thus says Yah Veh, Behold, I give you a terror to yourself and to all your loved ones: and they fall by the sword of their enemies and your eyes see it: and I give all Yah Hudah into the hand of the sovereign of Babel; and he exiles them into Babel and smites them with the sword: 5 and I give all the wealth of this city - all the labors and all the esteemed and all the treasures of the sovereigns of Yah Hudah I give into the hand of their enemies to plunder them and take them and carry them to Babel: 6 and you, Pashchur, and all who settle in your house go into captivity: and you come to Babel, and there you die and there you are entombed - you, and all your loved ones to whom you prophesied falsehoods. 7
THE COMPLAINT OF YIRME YAH
O Yah Veh, you delude me and I am deluded: you are stronger than I and you prevail: I am ridiculed daily; every one derides me: 8 for I word enough; I call out; I cry violence and ravage; because of the word of Yah Veh is a reproach to me; and a ridicule, daily. 9 Then I say, I neither mention him, nor word any more in his name: and it is in my heart as a burning fire restrained in my bones: and I am weary with containing and I am not able: 10 for I hear the slandering of many: terror is all around. Tell, and we tell! - all my men of shalom guard at my limping side, Perhaps he is deluded; and we prevail against him; and we take our avengement on him. 11 And Yah Veh is with me as a mighty tyrant: so my pursuers falter and they prevail not: they shame mightily; for they comprehend not: their eternal confusion is not forgotten. 12 And O Yah Veh Sabaoth, who proofs the just and sees the reins and the heart, I see your avengement on them: for to you I expose my plea. 13 Sing to Yah Veh; halal Yah Veh: for he rescues the soul of the needy from the hand of vilifiers. 14 Curse the day I was birthed; bless not the day my mother birthed me. 15 Curse the man who evangelized to my father, saying, A male son is birthed to you; in cheering, cheer him: 16 so be that man, as the cities Yah Veh turned against and sighed not - to hear the cry in the morning, and the shout at noon time: 17 because he executed me not from the womb that my mother become my tomb and her womb eternally great. 18 Why came I forth from the womb - to see toil and grief? To finish off my days with shame?
