Colossians 2 Cross References - RKJNT

1 For I want you to know what a great struggle I have for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 That their hearts might be comforted as they are knit together in love, and that they might gain all the riches of the full assurance that comes from understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, of Christ; 3 In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 And this I say, lest any man should deceive you with enticing words. 5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your good order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. 6 Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving. 8 Beware, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, which depend on the traditions of men and the rudiments of the world, and not on Christ. 9 For in him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form. 10 And you are complete in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. 11 In him also you were circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Having been buried with him in baptism, you have also risen with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made alive together with him, having forgiven us all transgressions; 14 Cancelling the bond of debt, with its legal decrees against us, which was contrary to us, and taking it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having disarmed rulers and authorities, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. 16 Therefore, let no man judge you in matters of food, or drink, or regarding a festival, or a new moon, or a sabbath day: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the reality belongs to Christ. 18 Let no man defraud you of your reward, delighting in self-abasement and the worship of angels, taking his stand on visions, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 And not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, supported and knit together by its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. 20 Therefore, if you are dead with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as though still living in the world, do you submit to such ordinances as, 21 Do not touch; do not taste; do not handle? 22 These all refer to things which perish with use; and are based on the commandments and doctrines of men. 23 These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom with their self-imposed worship, and self-abasement, and severity to the body; but are of no value in restraining the indulgence of the flesh.

Matthew 15:2-9

2 Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. 3 But he answered and said to them, Why do you transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, Honour your father and mother: and, He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death. 5 But you say, Whoever shall say to his father or his mother, Whatever of mine might benefit you is a gift to God; 6 Then he is free not to honour his father or his mother. Thus have you made the commandment of God void by your tradition. 7 You hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people honours me with their lips; but their hearts are far from me. 9 But in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

And there are many other traditions which they observe, such as the washing of cups, and pots, and vessels of copper.) 5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but rather eat bread with unwashed hands? 6 He answered and said to them, Well has Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honours me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. 7 In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 Laying aside the commandment of God, you hold to the traditions of men. 9 And he said to them, You fully reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition. 10 For Moses said, Honour your father and your mother; and, Whoever curses father or mother, let him be put to death: 11 But you say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, whatever I have that might benefit you is Corban, that is to say, a gift to God, 12 Then you do not allow him to do anything for his father or his mother; 13 Thus making the word of God invalid through your tradition, which you have handed down: and you do many such things.

Acts 11:3-18

3 Saying, You went into the house of uncircumcised men, and ate with them. 4 But Peter related the matter from the beginning, and explained it to them in order, saying, 5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain object descended, like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came down to me: 6 When I had fastened my eyes upon it and considered it, I saw four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and birds of the air. 7 And I heard a voice saying to me, Arise, Peter; kill and eat. 8 But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean has at any time entered into my mouth. 9 But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God has cleansed, do not call unholy. 10 And this happened three times: and then all was drawn up again into heaven. 11 And, behold, immediately three men arrived at the house where I was, sent from Caesarea to me. 12 And the Spirit told me to go with them, without doubting. And these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man's house: 13 And he told us how he had seen an angel in his house, who stood and said to him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is called Peter; 14 Who shall give you a message, by which you and all your household shall be saved. 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, just as upon us in the beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, that he said, John baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. 17 Therefore, if God gave them the same gift he gave to us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who was I, that I could withstand God? 18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then God has also granted to the Gentiles the repentance that leads to life.

Acts 13:38-39

Romans 1:21-22

21 Because, though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Romans 1:25

25 Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Romans 2:29

29 But he is a Jew, who is one inwardly; and circumcision is of the heart, by the spirit, and not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God.

Romans 4:17

17 (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him in whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead, and calls into being those things which are not.

Romans 4:24

24 But also for us. It shall be credited to those of us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

Romans 6:2-11

2 By no means. How shall we, who are dead to sin, live in it any longer? 3 Do you not know, that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

Romans 6:3-11

3 Do you not know, that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism into death: so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also might walk in newness of life.

Romans 6:4-11

4 Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism into death: so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united with him by sharing a death like his, so shall we also share a resurrection like his:

Romans 6:5-11

5 For if we have been united with him by sharing a death like his, so shall we also share a resurrection like his: 6 Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should no longer be enslaved by sin.

Romans 6:6-11

6 Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should no longer be enslaved by sin. 7 For he who has died is freed from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again: death no longer has power over him. 10 For in his death, he died to sin once for all: but in his life, he lives to God. 11 In the same way, consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Romans 6:13

13 Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness: but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

Romans 7:4

4 Likewise, my brethren, you have died to the law through the body of Christ; so that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead that we might bring forth fruit for God.

Romans 7:4-6

4 Likewise, my brethren, you have died to the law through the body of Christ; so that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead that we might bring forth fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the passions of sin, which were aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bring forth fruit for death. 6 But now we have been released from the law, dead to that which held us bound; so that we serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 8:6-8

6 Now the mind set on the flesh is death; but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. 7 Because the mind set on the flesh is hostile to God: for it is not subject to the law of God, indeed it cannot be. 8 So then those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Romans 8:11

11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies by his Spirit who dwells in you.

Romans 11:17-18

17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them, and with them partake in the rich root of the olive tree;

Romans 11:17

17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them, and with them partake in the rich root of the olive tree; 18 Do not boast over the branches. If you boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

Romans 11:33

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

Romans 12:4-5

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all the members do not have the same function: 5 So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually are members one of another.

Romans 14:2-3

2 For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat; and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats: for God has accepted him.

Romans 14:5-6

5 One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord; He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, abstains for the Lord, and gives God thanks.

Romans 14:10

10 Why do you judge your brother? or why do you despise your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.

Romans 14:13-17

13 Therefore, let us not judge one another any more: but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or an obstacle in a brother's way. 14 I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. 15 But if your brother is hurt because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food him for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore, do not let your good be spoken of as evil: 17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:20-21

20 Do not destroy the work of God for food. All things indeed are pure; but it is wrong for a man to cause another to fall by what he eats. 21 It is good not to eat meat, or to drink wine, or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

Romans 15:13

13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 16:17

17 Now I urge you, brethren, take note of those who cause divisions and difficulties, contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own bellies; and by smooth words and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the simple.

Romans 16:18

18 For they do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own bellies; and by smooth words and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience is known to all, and therefore I am glad on your behalf: yet I would have you be wise regarding that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

Romans 16:25

25 Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages past,

1 Corinthians 1:10

10 Now I urge you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:19-23

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and frustrate the cleverness of the clever. 20 Where is the wise man? where is the scribe? where is the debater of this age? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by its wisdom did not come to know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of our preaching to save those who believe. 22 For Jews require a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom: 23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness; 24 But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 1:30

30 But because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption:

1 Corinthians 1:30-31

30 But because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness, and holiness, and redemption: 31 So that, just as it is written, Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:4

4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

1 Corinthians 2:6-8

6 Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are being brought to nothing: 7 But we speak the wisdom of God, once secret and hidden, which God ordained for our glory before the ages: 8 Wisdom which none of the rulers of this world understood: for had they understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Corinthians 2:12

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.

1 Corinthians 3:3

3 For you are still fleshly: for while there is among you envy, and strife, are you not fleshly, and walking as mere men?

1 Corinthians 3:6

6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the growth.

1 Corinthians 3:9-15

9 For we are labourers together with God: you are God's field, God's building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds upon it. But let every man take heed how he builds upon it. 11 For no other foundation can man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man builds upon this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw; 13 Each man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall test the quality of every man's work. 14 If any man's work remains, which he has built upon it, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; but only as through fire.

1 Corinthians 3:18-19

18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks he is wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He catches the wise in their own craftiness.

1 Corinthians 4:18

18 Now some are puffed up, as though I were not coming to you.

1 Corinthians 5:3-4

3 For I, though absent in body, am present in spirit, and have already judged him who has done this deed, just as though I were present. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are gathered together, with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus,

1 Corinthians 6:13

13 Food is for the belly, and the belly for food: but God shall destroy both of them. The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

1 Corinthians 8:1

1 Now regarding things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

1 Corinthians 8:5-6

5 For though there are things that are called gods, in heaven and on earth, (and indeed there are many gods, and many lords,) 6 But for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we exist through him. 7 Yet, not every man has this knowledge: for some are still accustomed to idols, and eat a thing as if it were really offered to an idol; and because their conscience is weak it is defiled. 8 But food does not commend us to God: if we eat, we are none the better; if we do not eat, we are none the worse. 9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak. 10 For if any man sees you, who have knowledge, eating in an idol's temple, shall not the conscience of the one who is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols? 11 And so through your knowledge the weak brother is ruined, he for whom Christ died. 12 Thus, when you sin against the brethren in this way, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food makes my brother fall, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother fall.

1 Corinthians 9:24

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

1 Corinthians 10:16-17

16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

1 Corinthians 10:28-31

28 But if any man says to you, This has been offered in sacrifice to idols, do not eat, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for conscience sake: 29 I do not mean your conscience, but his: for why is my liberty judged by another man's conscience? 30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that for which I give thanks? 31 Therefore, whether you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 11:34

34 And if any man is hungry, let him eat at home; so you do not come together to be condemned. And the rest I will set in order when I come.

1 Corinthians 12:12-27

12 For just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body: so it is with Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:13-27

13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not part of the body; is it therefore not part of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has set the members, every one of them, in the body, as it has pleased him. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But as it is, there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22 No, those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are the most necessary: 23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty, 24 Of which our presentable parts have no need: but God has composed the body, giving more abundant honour to that part which lacked it: 25 That there should be no division in the body; but that the members should have the same care for one another. 26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.

1 Corinthians 13:4

4 Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, and is not arrogant;

1 Corinthians 14:40

40 But let all things be done decently and in order.

1 Corinthians 15:20

20 But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who sleep.

1 Corinthians 15:35-36

35 But some will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what kind of body will they come? 36 You fool, that which you sow does not come to life, unless it dies:

1 Corinthians 15:36

36 You fool, that which you sow does not come to life, unless it dies:

1 Corinthians 15:45

45 And so it is written, The first man, Adam, was made a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:58

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Corinthians 16:13

13 Be watchful, stand fast in the faith, act like men, be strong.

2 Corinthians 1:4-6

4 Who comforts us in all our troubles, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as we abundantly share in the sufferings of Christ, so through Christ we also abundantly share in comfort. 6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which works in you when you patiently endure the same sufferings which we suffer.

2 Corinthians 1:21

21 Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and has anointed us, is God;

2 Corinthians 3:6

6 Who has also made us able ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 4:4

4 For the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest they should see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 5:1

1 For we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 Corinthians 5:7

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

14 For the love of Christ controls us; because we are convinced that one died for all, therefore all died: 15 And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.

2 Corinthians 5:19

19 That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not counting men's sins against them; and he has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 6:17

17 Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing; and I will welcome you,

2 Corinthians 10:3

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh:

2 Corinthians 10:5

5 We cast down arguments, and every lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ;

2 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I fear, lest, as the serpent deceived Eve through his cunning, so your minds will be led astray from the simplicity that is in Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:11-13

11 Why? because I do not love you? God knows I do. 12 But what I do, that I will continue to do, that I may undermine the claim of those who desire opportunity to be regarded as our equals in that of which they boast. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder; for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no surprise if his servants are also disguised as servants of righteousness; their end shall be according to their works.

2 Corinthians 12:20

20 For I fear that when I come, I shall not find you as I wish, and you shall not find me to be as you wish; lest perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, rivalries, slander, gossip, conceit, disorder:

Galatians 1:6-9

6 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you by the grace of Christ, for another gospel: 7 Which is not truly another; but there are some who trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be eternally accursed. 9 As we said before, so now I say again, If any man preach any other gospel to you than that which you have received, let him be eternally accursed.

Galatians 1:14

14 And advanced in Judaism beyond many Jews of my age, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

Galatians 2:4

4 That arose because of false brethren who secretly slipped in to spy out the liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.

Galatians 2:12-13

12 For before certain men came from James, he ate with the Gentiles: but when they had come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the other Jews joined him in insincerity; so that even Barnabas was carried away with their insincerity.

Galatians 2:19-20

19 For through the law I am dead to the law, that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20-20

20 I have been crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 3:26-29

26 For you are all sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Galatians 3:27

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28-29

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 4:1-4

1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a servant, though he is owner of all; 2 But is under guardians and trustees until the time appointed by the father. 3 So we, when we were children, were in bondage to the elementary principles of the world:

Galatians 4:3-4

3 So we, when we were children, were in bondage to the elementary principles of the world: 4 But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

Galatians 4:4-4

4 But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 To redeem those who were under the law, that we might be adopted as sons.

Galatians 4:9

9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather, to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to those weak and beggarly principles, to which you again desire to be in bondage?

Galatians 4:9-12

9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather, to be known by God, how is it that you turn back again to those weak and beggarly principles, to which you again desire to be in bondage? 10 You observe days, and months, and seasons, and years.

Galatians 4:10-12

10 You observe days, and months, and seasons, and years. 11 I am afraid for you, lest I have bestowed labour upon you in vain. 12 Brethren, I urge you, be as I am; for I became as you are: you have not injured me at all.

Galatians 4:19

19 My little children, with whom I again suffer birth pains until Christ is formed in you,

Galatians 5:2-4

2 Behold, I, Paul say to you, that if you are circumcised, Christ shall be of no value to you. 3 For I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is obliged to obey the whole law. 4 You who would be justified by the law, you have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.

Galatians 5:19-20

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious; they are; sexual immorality, impurity, licentiousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strife, jealousy, fits of rage, selfishness, dissensions, factions,

Galatians 5:24

24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Galatians 6:14

14 But God forbid that I should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified to me, and I to the world.

Ephesians 1:8

8 Which he has lavished upon us in all wisdom and prudence;

Ephesians 1:17-19

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe. It is the working of his mighty power,

Ephesians 1:19-20

19 And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe. It is the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Ephesians 1:20-20

20 Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. 22 And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church,

Ephesians 1:22

22 And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all things everywhere.

Ephesians 2:1

1 And you were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 In which you walked in times past, according to the ways of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.

Ephesians 2:4-6

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in transgressions, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) 6 And has raised us up with him, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Ephesians 2:8

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ephesians 2:10-18

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand for us to do. 11 Therefore remember, that in times past you Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by those who are called the Circumcision, (that which is performed in the flesh by hands;)

Ephesians 2:11

11 Therefore remember, that in times past you Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by those who are called the Circumcision, (that which is performed in the flesh by hands;) 12 That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the wall of hostility between us;

Ephesians 2:14-16

14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the wall of hostility between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments and ordinances; to create in himself one new man in place of two, thus making peace;

Ephesians 2:15-16

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments and ordinances; to create in himself one new man in place of two, thus making peace;

Ephesians 2:15

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments and ordinances; to create in himself one new man in place of two, thus making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both to God, in one body, through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Ephesians 2:16-16

16 And that he might reconcile both to God, in one body, through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off, and to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians 2:20-22

20 Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone; 21 In whom the whole building is joined together and grows to become a holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom you also are built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.

Ephesians 3:7

7 Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the working of his power.

Ephesians 3:9-10

9 And make all men see what is the plan of the mystery, which from past ages has been hidden in God, who created all things: 10 That now, to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places, the manifold wisdom of God might be known through the church,

Ephesians 3:17

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Ephesians 3:19

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Ephesians 4:1

1 Therefore I, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

Ephesians 4:3

3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:5

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Ephesians 4:8

8 Therefore it says, When he ascended on high, he led a host of captives, and gave gifts to men.

Ephesians 4:14

14 That we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming. 15 But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all things into him, who is the head, that is, Christ: 16 From whom the whole body, fitted and joined together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of every part, causes the body to grow, for the building up of itself in love.

Ephesians 4:20

20 But you did not learn Christ that way; 21 If indeed you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 Then put off the old man, which belongs to your former life, which is corrupt through deceitful lusts;

Ephesians 5:1-2

1 Therefore be imitators of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice, a sweet smelling aroma to God.

Ephesians 5:6

6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Ephesians 5:14

14 Therefore he says, Awaken, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.

Ephesians 5:20

20 Always giving thanks for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Ephesians 5:29

29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church:

Ephesians 6:12

12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of darkness of this world, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:22

22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

Philippians 1:27

27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Philippians 1:29

29 For to you it is granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake; 30 Having the same conflict which you saw to be mine, and now hear to be mine still.

Philippians 2:1

1 If, therefore, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation in love, if any fellowship in the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2 Fulfill my joy by being likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord and of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfishness or vain conceit; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem the others as better than himself. 4 Let each of you not only look to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Let this attitude be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:9-11

9 Therefore, God has highly exalted him, and given him the name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth; 11 And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 3:2

2 Beware of the dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilators of the flesh. 3 For we are the true circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,

Philippians 3:8

8 Furthermore, I count all things as loss compared to the excellency of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may win Christ,

Philippians 3:14

14 I press on toward the goal for the prize, to which God has called me upward in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:9

9 For this reason, since the day we heard it, we do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That you might walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in all things, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 1:12-13

12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has made us qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. 13 He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Colossians 1:15-17

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation: 16 For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities: all things were created by him, and for him:

Colossians 1:16-18

16 For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities: all things were created by him, and for him:

Colossians 1:16

16 For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Colossians 1:17-18

17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 He is also the head of the body, the church: he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.

Colossians 1:18

18 He is also the head of the body, the church: he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father, that all his fulness should dwell in him;

Colossians 1:23

23 If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister. 24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh that which is lacking in the afflictions of Christ for his body's sake, which is the church:

Colossians 1:27

27 To whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the riches of the glory of this mystery; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:29

29 For this I labour, striving according to his power, which works mightily within me.

Colossians 2:1

1 For I want you to know what a great struggle I have for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; 2 That their hearts might be comforted as they are knit together in love, and that they might gain all the riches of the full assurance that comes from understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, of Christ;

Colossians 2:2

2 That their hearts might be comforted as they are knit together in love, and that they might gain all the riches of the full assurance that comes from understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, of Christ; 3 In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:8-9

8 Beware, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, which depend on the traditions of men and the rudiments of the world, and not on Christ. 9 For in him all the fulness of Deity dwells in bodily form.

Colossians 2:14

14 Cancelling the bond of debt, with its legal decrees against us, which was contrary to us, and taking it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Colossians 2:16

16 Therefore, let no man judge you in matters of food, or drink, or regarding a festival, or a new moon, or a sabbath day:

Colossians 2:18

18 Let no man defraud you of your reward, delighting in self-abasement and the worship of angels, taking his stand on visions, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Colossians 2:20

20 Therefore, if you are dead with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as though still living in the world, do you submit to such ordinances as,

Colossians 2:22

22 These all refer to things which perish with use; and are based on the commandments and doctrines of men. 23 These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom with their self-imposed worship, and self-abasement, and severity to the body; but are of no value in restraining the indulgence of the flesh.

Colossians 3:1-2

1 If you have been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God. 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:8-9

8 But now put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy speech from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;

Colossians 3:11

11 Here there is neither Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian or Scythian, slave or free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Colossians 3:14

14 And above all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

Colossians 3:16

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 4:8

8 I have sent him to you for that very purpose, that you might know of our circumstances, and that he might encourage your hearts.

Colossians 4:12-13

12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, greets you, always labouring fervently for you in prayer, that you may stand firm and fully assured in all the will of God. 13 For I bear him witness, that he has a great zeal for you, and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

Colossians 4:15-16

15 Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nympha, and the church which is in her house. 16 And when this letter is read among you, have it also read to the church of the Laodiceans; and you, likewise, read the letter from Laodicea.

1 Thessalonians 1:5

5 For our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with full conviction. You know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

1 Thessalonians 2:2

2 But even after we had already suffered, and were shamefully treated, as you know, in Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God despite much opposition.

1 Thessalonians 2:17

17 But we, brethren, having been torn from you for a short time, in person, not in heart, endeavoured all the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face.

1 Thessalonians 3:2

2 And sent Timothy, our brother, and fellow-worker for God in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you in your faith:

1 Thessalonians 3:8

8 For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 3:12

12 And may the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

1 Thessalonians 4:1

1 Furthermore, we urge you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have learned from us how you ought to walk and to please God, as indeed you are doing, so you would do more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:10

10 And indeed you do love all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but we urge you, brethren, that you do so more and more;

1 Thessalonians 5:14

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are idle or unruly, encourage the timid, support the weak, be patient toward all.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

2 Thessalonians 1:3

3 We ought always to thank God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith grows abundantly, and the love of every one of you for each other grows greater;

2 Thessalonians 2:7

7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work: only he who now restrains it will do so, until he is taken out of the way.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-11

9 The coming of the lawless one is through the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all wicked deception for those who perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who has loved us, and has given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, 17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.

2 Thessalonians 2:17

17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.

1 Timothy 1:7

7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; but understanding neither what they say, nor the matters about which they make such confident assertions.

1 Timothy 2:4-6

4 Who desires all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time.

1 Timothy 3:16

16 And beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

1 Timothy 4:1-2

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1 Timothy 4:1

1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Taught by hypocritical liars; who have their consciences seared as with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding marriage, and commanding abstinence from foods which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

1 Timothy 4:3

3 Forbidding marriage, and commanding abstinence from foods which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be refused, if it is received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:8

8 For bodily exercise is of some value: but godliness is of value in all things, having promise in this life, and in that which is to come.

1 Timothy 5:6

6 But she who lives in self-indulgence is dead while she lives.

1 Timothy 6:13

13 I charge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession;

1 Timothy 6:20

20 O Timothy, guard that which has been entrusted to you. Avoid godless chatter and the contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge:

2 Timothy 2:16

16 But avoid godless and empty chatter: for it will lead people to more ungodliness, 17 And their word will spread like gangrene. Among these are Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who have strayed from the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and thus upset the faith of some.

2 Timothy 3:13

13 But evil men and impostors shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

2 Timothy 3:15-17

15 And how from childhood you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for all good works.

Titus 1:10-11

10 For there are many unruly and empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, for they are subverting whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for sordid gain.

Titus 1:14

14 Not giving heed to Jewish myths, and commandments of men who turn from the truth.

Titus 2:13

13 Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

Titus 3:5-6

5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit; 6 Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

Hebrews 2:14

14 Since then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he himself also partook of the same; that through death he might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Hebrews 3:14

14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold our first confidence steadfast to the end;

Hebrews 4:1-11

1 Therefore, let us fear, lest while a promise of entering into his rest remains, any of you should seem to fall short of it. 2 For the gospel was preached to us, as well as to them: but the word preached did not benefit them, because it was not combined with faith in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed enter into that rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, they shall never enter my rest: although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day in this manner, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works. 5 And again in this passage, They shall never enter my rest. 6 Therefore, since it remains that some must enter in, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter in because of unbelief: 7 He again fixes a certain day, calling it Today, saying through David after so long a time, as was said before, Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts. 8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then he would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9 Therefore, there remains a sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered his rest, has also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Therefore, let us labour to enter that rest, lest any man fall by following their example of disobedience.

Hebrews 5:7

7 In the days of his flesh, he offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his piety.

Hebrews 5:9

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation for all those who obey him;

Hebrews 6:1

1 Therefore, leaving the elementary principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of instructions about baptisms, and of the laying on of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Hebrews 6:11

11 And we desire that every one of you show the same diligence in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end:

Hebrews 6:19

19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, which enters within the veil;

Hebrews 7:18

18 So, there is a setting aside of the former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness,

Hebrews 8:5

5 They serve at a copy and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary. This is why, when Moses was about to make the tabernacle, he was warned by God, saying, See that you make all things according to the pattern shown to you on the mountain.

Hebrews 8:10-12

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: 11 And no longer shall every man teach his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins I will remember no more. 13 When he says, A new covenant, he has made the first one obsolete. Now that which is obsolete and grows old is ready to vanish away.

Hebrews 9:9-10

9 Which is a symbol for the present age, in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshipper perfect in conscience;

Hebrews 9:9

9 Which is a symbol for the present age, in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshipper perfect in conscience; 10 For they are only a matter of food and drink, and various washings, and regulations for the body, imposed until the time of reformation.

Hebrews 9:10

10 For they are only a matter of food and drink, and various washings, and regulations for the body, imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, then, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation;

Hebrews 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:24

24 For Christ has not entered a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

Hebrews 10:1

1 For the law, being only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never by those sacrifices, which are offered year by year, continually, make perfect those who draw near.

Hebrews 10:8-9

8 After he said above, Sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and offerings for sin you did not desire, neither did you have pleasure in them, which are offered according to the law; 9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.

Hebrews 10:22

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 12:2

2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 13:9

9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing for the heart to be established by grace, not by foods, which have not benefitted those who have been occupied with them.

Hebrews 13:15

15 Therefore, through him let us continually offer a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.

Hebrews 13:20-21

20 Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 Equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

James 1:16-17

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

James 2:17

17 Even so faith, if it does not have works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:20

20 Do you want to be shown, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:26

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.

James 3:14-16

14 But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish. 16 For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is confusion and every evil work.

James 4:1-6

1 What causes strife and quarrels among you? do they not come from your passions, which are at war in your members? 2 You covet, and do not have, so you kill; and envy, and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask, and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it upon your pleasures. 4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

James 4:4

4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? whoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 5 Do you think that the scripture speaks in vain when it says, The spirit he made to dwell in us tends toward envious desires? 6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

James 4:11

11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of his brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge of it.

1 Peter 1:8

8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and though you do not see him now, yet you believe in him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy:

1 Peter 1:18

18 For you know that you were not redeemed with perishable things, such as silver and gold, from the vain way of life you inherited from your fathers;

1 Peter 2:1-3

1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all kinds of slander, 2 As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow by it in your salvation: 3 Since you have tasted the kindness of the Lord. 4 Coming to him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but chosen by God, and precious, 5 You also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For this is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a cornerstone, chosen and precious: and he who believes in him shall not be put to shame.

1 Peter 2:24

24 He himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we might die to sins and live to righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

1 Peter 3:8

8 Finally, be of one mind, have sympathy for one another, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble.

1 Peter 3:21

21 This water symbolizes baptism, which now saves us (not by the removal of dirt from the body, but by an appeal of a good conscience to God,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 Who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; with angels and authorities and powers made subject to him.

1 Peter 4:1-3

1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind: for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; 2 That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 3 For the time past was sufficient for doing the things the Gentiles desire to do: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, revelling, carousing, and abominable idolatries.

1 Peter 5:9

9 Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are required of your brethren who are throughout the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

2 Peter 1:3

3 Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue:

2 Peter 1:10

10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:

2 Peter 2:14

14 Having eyes full of adultery, who cannot cease from sin; enticing unstable souls: they have a heart trained in greed; cursed children:

2 Peter 3:17-18

17 But you, beloved, seeing that you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also, being led away by the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

2 Peter 3:17

17 But you, beloved, seeing that you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also, being led away by the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

2 Peter 3:18-18

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

1 John 1:7-9

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 2:6

6 He who says he abides in him ought also to walk as he walked.

1 John 2:12

12 I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.

1 John 2:18

18 Little children, it is the last hour: and as you have heard that the antichrist shall come, even now there are many antichrists; by this we know that it is the last hour.

1 John 2:26

26 These things I have written to you concerning those who would deceive you.

1 John 3:19

19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him,

1 John 4:1

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

1 John 4:1-2

1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God: because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God:

1 John 4:12-13

12 No man has seen God at any time, but if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in him, and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

1 John 5:7

7 And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

1 John 5:11-12

11 And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 John 5:19

19 We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies under the power of the wicked one. 20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

2 John 1:7

7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Such a one is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2 John 1:7-11

7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Such a one is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that you do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.

2 John 1:8

8 Look to yourselves, that you do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.

2 John 1:8-11

8 Look to yourselves, that you do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever runs too far ahead, and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. He who abides in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

2 John 1:9-11

9 Whoever runs too far ahead, and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. He who abides in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, or give him any encouragement: 11 For he who encourages him is a partaker in his evil deeds.

Jude 1:3

3 Beloved, while my whole concern was to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude 1:12

12 These men are blemishes at your feasts of love, when they eat with you without fear: clouds without water, carried about by the winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Jude 1:20

20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

Jude 1:24

24 Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceedingly great joy,

Revelation 1:11

11 Saying, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

Revelation 2:17

17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches; To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no man knows except him who receives it.

Revelation 3:11

11 Behold, I come quickly: hold fast to that which you have, that no man may take your crown.

Revelation 3:14-22

14 And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish that you were either cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, and have grown wealthy, and have need of nothing; but you do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness may not appear; and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: therefore be zealous, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Revelation 5:9-13

9 And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to break its seals: for you were slain, and by your blood have purchased men for God out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10 And have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God: and they shall reign upon the earth. 11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands upon thousands; 12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13 And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be to him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever.

Revelation 12:9

9 And the great dragon was cast down, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

Revelation 13:8

8 And all who live upon the earth shall worship him, every one whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world.

Revelation 13:14

14 And deceives those who live on the earth by the miracles which he had the power to do in the sight of the beast; bidding those who live on the earth to make an image in honour of the beast, who was wounded by the sword, and yet lived.

Revelation 17:18

18 And the woman you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.

Revelation 19:10

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 20:2-3

2 And he laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and sealed it over him, that he should no longer deceive the nations, until the thousand years should be ended: and after that he must be released for a short time.

Revelation 20:3-3
