3 Do you not know, that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism into death: so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united with him by sharing a death like his, so shall we also share a resurrection like his:
6 Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should no longer be enslaved by sin.
7 For he who has died is freed from sin.
8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again: death no longer has power over him.
10 For in his death, he died to sin once for all: but in his life, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
