1  And the LORDE spake vnto Moses in ye wyldernesse of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of witnesse, the first daye of the secode moneth in the seconde yeare, wha they were gone out of the lade of Egipte, and sayde:
 
2  Take ye summe of the whole congregacion of the children of Israel, after their kynredes & their fathers houses, with the nombre of the names, all that are males, heade by heade,
 
3  fro twentye yeare and aboue, as many as are able to go forth in to ye warre in Israel. And ye shal nombre them acordinge to their armyes thou and Aaron,
 
4  and of euery trybe ye shal take vnto you one captayne ouer his fathers house.
 
5  These are the names of the captaynes that shal stonde with you. Of Ruben, Elizur the sonne of Sedeur.
 
6  Of Simeon, Selumiel the sonne of Zuri Sadai.
 
7  Of Iuda, Nahasson the sonne of Aminadab.
 
8  Of Isachar, Nathaneel the sonne of Zuar.
 
9  Of Zabulon, Eliab the sonne of Helon.
 
10  Amonge the children of Ioseph: Of Ephraim, Elisama ye sonne of Amihud. Of Manasse, Gamaliel the sonne of Pedazur.
 
11  Of Ben Iamin, Abidam ye sonne of Gedeoni.
 
12  Of Dan, Ahieser the sonne of Ammi Sadai.
 
13  Of Asser, Pagiel the sonne of Ochram.
 
14  Of Gad, Eliasaph ye sonne of Deguel.

47  But the Leuites after the trybe of their fathers, were not nombred amonge them.
 
48  And the LORDE spake vnto Moses, and saide:
 
49  The trybe of Leui shalt thou not nombre, ner take the summe of them amonge ye children of Israel:
 
50  but shalt appoynte them to the Habitacion of wytnesse, and to all ye apparell therof, and to all that belongeth therto. And they shall beare the Tabernacle & all the ordinaunce therof, and shal wayte vpon it, and shal pitch their tentes rounde aboute it.
 
51  And whan men shal go on their iourney, the Leuites shal take downe ye Tabernacle. And whan the hoost pitch their tetes, they shal set vp the Tabernacle. And yf a straunger preasse nye vnto it, he shall dye.
 
52  The children of Israel shal pitch their tentes, euery one in his awne armye, and by the baner of his awne companye.
 
53  But the Leuites shall pitch rounde aboute the Tabernacle of wytnesse, that there come no wrath vpon ye congregacion of the children of Israel: therfore shal the Leuites wayte vpon the Habitacion of wytnesse.
 
54  And the children of Israel dyd all, as the LORDE commaunded Moses.

8  But he denyed, and saide vnto her: Beholde, my master knoweth not what is in ye house, and all that he hath, that hath he put vnder my hande.
 
9  And there is no man so greate in the house as I, and he hath kepte nothinge fro me, excepte the: for thou art his wife. How shulde I then do so greate euell, and synne agaynst God?
 
10  But she spake soch wordes vnto Ioseph daylie. Neuertheles he herkened not vnto her, to slepe by her, or to be in her company.
 
11  It fortuned vpon a tyme, that Ioseph wente in to the house to do his busynesse, and there was none of ye folkes of the house thereby.

16  And she layed vp his garmet by her, tyll his master came home,
 
17  and tolde him euen the same wordes, and sayde: The Hebrue seruaunt whom thou broughtest here vnto vs, came in here to me, for to do me shame.
 
18  But whan I made a noyse and cried, he left his garment here by me, and fled out.
 
19  Whan his master herde the wordes of his wyfe which she tolde him, and sayde: Thus hath the Hebrue seruaunt done vnto me, he was very wroth.
 
20  Then his master toke him, and put him in the preson, wherin the kinges presoners laie. And there he laye in preson.
 
21  But the LORDE was with him, and had mercy vpon him, & caused him to fynde fauor in the sight of the officer of ye preson,
 
22  so that he committed all the presoners of the preson vnto his hades: that what so euer were done, might be done by him.
 
23  For the officer of the preson sawe, yt the LORDE was with him in all yt was vnder his handes, and that what so euer he dyd, the LORDE made it to come prosperously to passe.

9  Whan ye go to a battayll in youre londe agaynst youre enemies yt vexe you, ye shall trompe with the trompettes, that ye maye be remembred before the LORDE yor God, and delyuered from youre enemies.
 
10  Like wyse whan ye are mery, and in youre feast dayes, & in youre new Monethes, ye shal blowe with the trompettes ouer youre burntsacrifices & healthofferinges, yt it maie be a remembraunce vnto you before youre God. I am the LORDE youre God.

16  Ouer the trybes of Israel were these: Amonge the Rubenites was Prynce Elieser the sonne of Sichri. Amonge the Simeoninites was Sephatia the sonne of Maecha.
 
17  Amonge the Leuites was Hasabia the sonne of Kemuel. Amonge the Aaronites was Sadoc.
 
18  Amoge Iuda was Elihu one of Dauids brethren. Amonge Isachar was Amri the sonne of Michael.
 
19  Amonge Zabulo was Iesmaia the sonne of Obadia. Amonge Nephtali was Ieremoth the sonne of Asriel.
 
20  Amonge the children of Ephraim was Hosea the sonne of Asasia. Amonge the halfe trybe of Manasses was Ioel the sonne of Pedaia.
 
21  Amonge the halfe trybe of Manasses in Gilead was Ieddo the sonne of Zacharias. Amonge BenIamin was Iaesiel the sonne of Abner.
 
22  Amonge Dan was Asareel the sonne of Ieroham. These are the princes of the trybes of Israel.
 
23  But Dauid toke not the nombre of them that were twentye yeare olde and there vnder: for the LORDE had promysed to multiplye Israel as the starres of the ?kie.
 
24  Howbeit Ioab the sonne of Zeruia had begonne to nombre them, and perfourmed it not: for there came wrath vpon Israel for the same cause, therfore came not the nombre in to ye Cronicles of kynge Dauid.
