Thomson⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁴ And when he had done speaking, he said to Simon, Row into deep water, and let down your nets for a draught. ⁵ Upon which Simon, answering, said to him, Master, we have been toiling all night, and have caught nothing. However, at thy word, I will let down the net. ⁶ And, having done this, they enclosed such a great multitude of fishes that their net began to break. ⁷ Whereupon they beckoned to their partners in the other vessel to come and help them. So they came, and they filled both the vessels so that they began to sink. ⁸ Upon seeing this, Simon Peter prostrated himself at the knees of Jesus, and said, Depart from me, for I, O Lord, am a sinful man. ⁹ For he, and all that were with him, were seized with amazement at the draught of fishes which they had taken. ¹⁰ And so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners. Then Jesus saith to Simon, Be not afraid; henceforth1 thou shalt be employed in catching men. ¹¹ And when they had brought their vessels to land, they left all and followed him.
