And when he had done speaking, he said to Simon, Row into deep water, and let down your nets for a draught.
Upon which Simon, answering, said to him, Master, we have been toiling all night, and have caught nothing. However, at thy word, I will let down the net.
And, having done this, they enclosed such a great multitude of fishes that their net began to break.
Whereupon they beckoned to their partners in the other vessel to come and help them. So they came, and they filled both the vessels so that they began to sink.
Upon seeing this, Simon Peter prostrated himself at the knees of Jesus, and said, Depart from me, for I, O Lord, am a sinful man.
For he, and all that were with him, were seized with amazement at the draught of fishes which they had taken.
And so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners. Then Jesus saith to Simon, Be not afraid; henceforth1 thou shalt be employed in catching men.
And when they had brought their vessels to land, they left all and followed him.
