Luke 2:23-33

Riverside(i) 23 as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male shall be called holy to the Lord," 24 and to give an offering according to what is said in the law of the Lord, "a pair of doves or two young pigeons." 25 There was in Jerusalem a man named Simeon, and this man was upright and God-fearing, looking forward to the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he was not to see death before he saw the Lord's Christ. 27 Led by the Spirit he came into the Temple courts, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus in order to do for him according to the custom of the law, 28 he took him into his arms and blessed God, and said, 29 "Now, O Lord, thou art letting thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 which thou hast prepared before the face of all the peoples, 32 a light for revelation to Gentiles and a glory to thy people Israel." 33 His father and his mother wondered at the things that were spoken about him.
