Luke 2:23-33

ACV(i) 23 (just as it is written in a law of the Lord that every male that opens a womb will be called holy to the Lord), 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in a law of the Lord, a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons. 25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. And this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the encouragement of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it was divinely revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, that he would not see death before he would see the Christ of the Lord. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the child Jesus, for them to do according to the custom of the law about him, 28 he also received it into his arms, and praised God, and said, 29 Now dismiss thy bondman in peace, Master, according to thy word, 30 because my eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 which thou prepared toward the face of all the peoples: 32 a light for enlightenment of Gentiles, and glory of thy people Israel. 33 And Joseph and his mother were marveling at the things being spoken about him.
