46 And they came to Hierico: and as he went out of Hierico with hys discyples, and a great numbre of people, Barthymeus the sonne of Chimeus whiche was blynde, sate by the hye wayes syde begginge.
47 And when he hearde, that it was Iesus of Nazareth, he beganne to crye and to saye: Iesus the sonne of Dauid, haue mercye on me.
48 And many rebuked him that he shoulde holde hys peace. But he cryed the more a great deale: Thou sonne of Dauid haue mercye on me.
