⁴⁶ And they came to Hierico: and as he went out of Hierico with hys discyples, and a great numbre of people, Barthymeus the sonne of Chimeus whiche was blynde, sate by the hye wayes syde begginge.

²⁹ And as they departed from Hiericho, much people folowed hym. ³⁰ And beholde two blynd men sitting by the way syde, when thei heard Iesus passe by, cryed saying: Thou Lord the sonne of Dauid haue mercy on vs. ³¹ And the people rebuked theym: because they shoulde holde their peace. But they cried the more sayinge: Haue mercy on vs thou Lord which art the sonne of Dauid. ³² Then Iesus stode styll, & called them, and sayde: What will ye that I shoulde do to you? ³³ Thei sayde to him: Lorde, that our eyes maye be opened. ³⁴ Iesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes. And immediatly their eyes receiued sight. And thei folowed him.

²⁰ And there was a certayne begger named Lazarus, whiche laye at hys gate full of sores,

²² And it fortuned that the begger dyed, and was caryed by the Angels into Abrahams bosome. The ryche man also dyed and was buryed.

³⁵ And it came to passe, as he was come nye vnto Hierico, a certayne blynde man sat by the waye syde begginge.

⁸ The neyghboures and they that had sene him before, how that he was a beggar, sayed: is not thys he that satte & begged.

² And ther was a certayne man halte from hys mothers wombe, whome they broughte and layed at the gate of the temple called beutifull, to axe almes of them that entred into the temple. ³ Whyche same when he sawe Peter and Iohn, that they woulde into the temple, desiered to receiue an almes.
