1 Corinthians 8:8-13

Living_Oracles(i) 8 But meat does not recommend us to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we do not eat, are we the worse. 9 Nevertheless, take heed, lest, perhaps, this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if any one see you, who have knowledge, at table in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak, be encouraged to eat things sacrificed to idols? 11 and through this, your knowledge, shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12 And, by thus sinning against the brethren, and wounding their conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother stumble, I will never eat flesh, lest I make my brother stumble.
