KJV_Strongs(i)
  4 H136 The Lord H3069 GOD H5414 hath given [H8804]   H3956 me the tongue H3928 of the learned H3045 , that I should know [H8800]   H5790 how to speak [H8800]   H1697 a word H3287 in season to him that is weary H5782 : he wakeneth [H8686]   H1242 morning H1242 by morning H5782 , he wakeneth [H8686]   H241 mine ear H8085 to hear [H8800]   H3928 as the learned.
  5 H136 The Lord H3069 GOD H6605 hath opened [H8804]   H241 mine ear H4784 , and I was not rebellious [H8804]   H5472 , neither turned away [H8738]   H268 back.
  6 H5414 I gave [H8804]   H1460 my back H5221 to the smiters [H8688]   H3895 , and my cheeks H4803 to them that plucked off [H8802]   H5641 the hair: I hid [H8689]   H6440 not my face H3639 from shame H7536 and spitting.
  7 H136 For the Lord H3069 GOD H5826 will help [H8799]   H3637 me; therefore shall I not be confounded [H8738]   H7760 : therefore have I set [H8804]   H6440 my face H2496 like a flint H3045 , and I know [H8799]   H954 that I shall not be ashamed [H8799]  .
8 H7138 He is near H6663 that justifieth [H8688]   H7378 me; who will contend [H8799]   H5975 with me? let us stand [H8799]   H3162 together H1167 : who is mine adversary H4941   H5066 ? let him come near [H8799]   to me.
9 H136 Behold, the Lord H3069 GOD H5826 will help [H8799]   H7561 me; who is he that shall condemn [H8686]   H1086 me? lo, they all shall wax old [H8799]   H899 as a garment H6211 ; the moth H398 shall eat them up [H8799]  .
ERV(i) 4 The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I should know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught. 5 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away backward. 6 I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting. 7 For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore have I not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. 8 He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand up together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me. 9 Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? behold, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.
