Genesis 16:2-4 ותאמר said שׂרי And Sarai אל unto אברם Abram, הנה Behold נא now, עצרני hath restrained יהוה the LORD מלדת me from bearing: בא go in נא I pray thee, אל unto שׁפחתי my maid; אולי it may be אבנה that I may obtain children ממנה me from bearing: וישׁמע hearkened אברם her. And Abram לקול to the voice שׂרי׃ of Sarai.

3 H3947 ותקח took H8297 שׂרי And Sarai H802 אשׁת wife H87 אברם Abram's H853 את H1904 הגר Hagar H4713 המצרית the Egyptian, H8198 שׁפחתה her maid H7093 מקץ after H6235 עשׂר ten H8141 שׁנים years H3427 לשׁבת had dwelt H87 אברם Abram H776 בארץ in the land H3667 כנען of Canaan, H5414 ותתן and gave H853 אתה H87 לאברם Abram H582 אישׁה H802 לו לאשׁה׃ to be his wife.

4 H935 ויבא And he went in H413 אל unto H1904 הגר Hagar, H2029 ותהר and she conceived: H7200 ותרא and when she saw H3588 כי that H2029 הרתה she had conceived, H7043 ותקל was despised H1404 גברתה her mistress H5869 בעיניה׃ in her eyes.
