Ecclesiastes 1:13-17 ונתתי And I gave את לבי my heart לדרושׁ to seek ולתור and search out בחכמה by wisdom על concerning כל all אשׁר that נעשׂה are done תחת under השׁמים heaven: הוא this ענין travail רע sore נתן given אלהים hath God לבני to the sons האדם of man לענות׃ to be exercised

14 H7200 ראיתי I have seen H853 את H3605 כל all H4639 המעשׂים the works H6213 שׁנעשׂו that are done H8478 תחת under H8121 השׁמשׁ the sun; H2009 והנה and, behold, H3605 הכל all H1892 הבל vanity H7469 ורעות and vexation H7307 רוח׃ of spirit.

15 H5791 מעות crooked H3808 לא cannot H3201 יוכל cannot H8626 לתקן be made straight: H2642 וחסרון and that which is wanting H3808 לא cannot H3201 יוכל cannot H4487 להמנות׃ be numbered.

16 H1696 דברתי communed H589 אני I H5973 עם with H3820 לבי mine own heart, H559 לאמר saying, H589 אני I H2009 הנה Lo, H1431 הגדלתי am come to great estate, H3254 והוספתי and have gotten more H2451 חכמה wisdom H5921 על than H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H1961 היה have been H6440 לפני before H5921 על me in H3389 ירושׁלם Jerusalem: H3820 ולבי yea, my heart H7200 ראה experience H7235 הרבה had great H2451 חכמה of wisdom H1847 ודעת׃ and knowledge.

17 H5414 ואתנה And I gave H3820 לבי my heart H3045 לדעת to know H2451 חכמה wisdom, H3045 ודעת and to know H1947 הוללות madness H5531 ושׂכלות and folly: H3045 ידעתי I perceived H1571 שׁגם also H2088 זה that this H1931 הוא H7475 רעיון vexation H7307 רוח׃ of spirit.
