Isaiah 42

ECB(i) 1
THE SERVANT OF YAH VEH
Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul is pleased: I give my spirit on him; he brings judgment to the goyim: 2 he neither cries, nor lifts, nor has his voice heard in the outway: 3 he neither breaks a crushed stalk nor quenches he the smoking flax; he brings forth judgment to truth: 4 he neither dims nor crushes until he sets judgment in the earth: and the islands await his torah. 5 Thus says El Yah Veh, who created the heavens and spread them; who expanded the earth and its offspring; who gave breath to the people thereon, and spirit to them who walk therein: 6 I Yah Veh call you in justness and hold your hand and guard you; and give you for a covenant of the people and a light of the goyim: 7 to open the eyes of the blind; to bring the bound from the lock up; those sitting in darkness from the prison house. 8 I - Yah Veh: that is my name: and I neither give my honor to another, nor my halal to sculptiles. 9 Behold, the former becomes, and the new I tell: ere they sprout, I have you hear of them. 10
SING AND HALAL TO YAH VEH
Sing to Yah Veh a new song and his halal from the end of the earth; you who descend to the sea, and its fulness; the islands, and the settlers. 11 The wilderness and the cities lift, Qedar settles the courts: the settlers of the rock shout; they shout from the top of the mountains: 12 they set honor to Yah Veh and tell his halal in the islands: 13 Yah Veh goes forth as mighty; he wakens jealousy as a man of war: he shouts! Yes, whoops! He prevails mightily against his enemies. 14 I hush eternally; I hush and refrain myself: I scream as a birthing woman; I puff and gulp together: 15 I parch the mountains and hills and I wither all their herbs; and I set the rivers islands and I wither the marshes: 16 and I carry the blind by a way they know not; I tread them in paths they know not: I set darkness light at their face and crooked straight: I work these words to them and forsake them not. 17 They apostatize backward shamingly they shame - who confide in sculptiles, - who say to the moltens, You are our elohim. 18 Hear, you deaf! And look, you blind, and see! 19 Who is blind, but my servant? Or deaf, as my angel whom I send? Who is blind as he who shalams yes, blind as the servant of Yah Veh? 20 Seeing much, you guard not; opening ears, but he hears not. 21 Yah Veh delights for sake of his justness; he greatens the torah mightily. 22 And this is a people plundered and plundered; all their youths are snared - hidden in prison houses; they are for a plunder, and no one rescues; for a plunder, and no one says, Restore. 23 Who among you hearkens to this? Who hearkens and hears afterward? 24 Who gave Yaaqov for a plunder? And Yisra El to the plunderers? Is it not Yah Veh, against whom we sinned? Yes, they will neither to walk in his ways, nor hearken to his torah. 25 So he pours on him the fury of his wrath and the strength of war: and it inflames him on fire round about, yet he knows it not; and it burns him, yet he sets it not to heart.
