Isaiah 16

ECB(i) 1
JUSTICE ON MOAB
You, send the ram to the sovereign of the land - from the rock to the wilderness to the mount of the daughter of Siyon. 2 And so be it, as a flapping flyer sent from the nest, thus be the daughters of Moab at the passages of Arnon. 3 Take counsel; work justice; place your shadow as the night midst the noon; hide the expelled; expose not him who flaps. 4 My expelled sojourn with you, O Moab; a covert from the face of the ravager: for the oppressor ceases; the ravage finishes; the tramplers are consumed from the land. 5 And established in mercy is the throne: and he sits thereon in truth in the tent of David - judging and seeking judgment and hasting justness. 6 We hear of the pomp of Moab; - mighty pompous: even of his pomp - his pomp and his wrath: not so his lies. 7 So Moab howls for Moab; every one howls: for the foundations of Qir Hareseth you meditate; surely they are stricken. 8 Because the fields of Heshbon languish - the vine of Sibmah: the masters of the goyim hammer the grapevines - they touch to Yazer; they wander through the wilderness: abandon her branches; they pass over the sea. 9 So I weep with the weeping of Yazer the vine of Sibmah: I saturate you with my tears, O Heshbon and El Aleh: for the shouting for your summer fruits and for your harvest is fallen: 10 and cheerfulness is gathered with twirling from the orchard/Karmel; and in the vineyards they shout not, they shout not: the treaders tread no wine in troughs; I shabbathize their shouting. 11 So my inwards, as a harp, roar for Moab; and my inwards for Qir Hareseth. 12 And so be it, we see Moab, weary on the bamah, come to his holies to pray; and he prevails not. 13 This is the word Yah Veh words ever since concerning Moab. 14 And now Yah Veh words, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, the honor of Moab is abased, with all that great multitude; and the survivors little - few - not many.
