ELI SHUA HEALS NAAMAN
And Naaman governor of the host of the sovereign of Aram is a great man at the face of his adoni; accepted by face, because by him Yah Veh gave salvation to Aram: he is also a mighty man in valour - a leper. 2 And the Aramiy go by troops and capture a little lass from the land of Yisra El; and she waits at the face of the woman of Naaman. 3 And she says to her lady, O that my adoni face the prophet in Shomeron to gather him of his leprosy. 4 And one goes in and tells his adoni, saying, The lass of the land of Yisra El words thus and thus. 5 And the sovereign of Aram says, Go! Go, and I send a scroll to the sovereign of Yisra El. And he goes; and in his hand he takes ten rounds of silver and six thousand of gold and ten changes of clothes: 6 and he brings the scroll to the sovereign of Yisra El, saying, And now this scroll comes to you; and behold, I send Naaman my servant to you to gather him of his leprosy. 7 And so be it, the sovereign of Yisra El calls out the scroll, and he rips his clothes and says, Am I Elohim? - to deathify and to enliven? - that this man sends to me to gather a man of his leprosy? Only, perceive, I beseech, and see how he beseeches me. 8 And so be it, Eli Shua the man of Elohim hears that the sovereign of Yisra El rips his clothes, and he sends to the sovereign, saying, Why rip your clothes? Have him come to me so that he knows there is a prophet in Yisra El. 9 And Naaman comes with his horses and with his chariot and stands at the portal of the house of Eli Shua. 10 And Eli Shua sends an angel to him, saying, Go and baptize in Yarden seven times and your flesh returns to you, and you are purified. 11 And Naaman rages and goes away and says, Behold, I say to myself, In coming, he comes to me and stands and calls on the name of Yah Veh his Elohim and waves his hand over the place and gathers the leper! 12 Are not Amanah and Parpar, rivers of Dammeseq, better than all the waters of Yisra El? Baptize I not in them and become purified? - and he turns his face and goes in a fury. 13 And his servants come near and word to him and say, My father, had the prophet worded you a great word, had you not worked it? And also, he says to you, Baptize and be purified. 14 And he descends and dips himself seven times in Yarden, according to the word of the man of Elohim: and his flesh returns as the flesh of a little lad and he is purified. 15 And he returns to the man of Elohim - he and all his camp and come and stand at his face: and he says, Behold, now I know there is no Elohim in all the earth except in Yisra El: and now, I beseech you, take a blessing of your servant. 16 But he says, Yah Veh lives, at whose face I stand, I take none. - and he urges him to take; but he refuses. 17 And Naaman says, If not, I beseech you, O that I give your servant a load of soil of a pair of mules? For your servant works neither holocaust nor sacrifice to other elohim, except to Yah Veh: 18 in this word Yah Veh forgive your servant, that when my adoni goes into the house of Rimmon to prostrate there and he leans on my hand; and I prostrate myself in the house of Rimmon: when I prostrate myself in the house of Rimmon, that Yah Veh forgive your servant in this word. 19 And he says to him, Go in shalom. - and he goes a bit of earth from him. 20 And Gay Chazi the lad of Eli Shua the man of Elohim says, Behold, my adoni restrains Naaman this Aramiy from taking at his hands what he brought: and, Yah Veh lives, I run after him and take of him. 21 And Gay Chazi pursues Naaman: and Naaman sees him running after: and he falls from the chariot to meet him and says, Shalom? 22 And he says, Shalom! My adoni sends me, saying, Behold, now there come to me from mount Ephrayim two lads of the sons of the prophets: give them, I beseech thee, a round of silver and two changes of clothes. 23 And Naaman says, If you will, take two rounds. - and he breaches him; and binds rounds of silver in two pouches with two changes of clothes; and gives them on two of his lads; and they bear them at his face. 24 And he comes to the mound, and he takes them from their hand, and visits them in the house: and sends the men away, and they go: 25 and he goes in and stands in front of his adoni. And Eli Shua says to him, Where, Gay Chazi? And he says, Your servant went neither here nor there. 26 And he says to him, Went not my heart, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to take silver and to take clothes and oliveyards and vineyards and flock and oxen and servants and maids? 27 The leprosy of Naaman adheres to you and to your seed eternally. - and he goes out from his face leperous as snow.
