In the seventh year of Yah Hu Yah Ash begins to reign; and he reigns forty years in Yeru Shalem: and the name of his mother, Zib Yah of Beer Sheba.
And all his days Yah Ash works straight in the eyes of Yah Veh wherein Yah Yada the priest taught him:
only, they turn not aside the bamahs: the people still sacrifice and incense in the bamahs.
And Yah Ash says to the priests, Bring all the silver of the holies into the house of Yah Veh: the silver of every man who passes - the silver of the appraisal of his soul, all the silver ascending into any heart of man to bring to the house of Yah Veh,
the priests take it to every man of his acquaintance to strengthen the breaches of the house wherever they find any breach.
And so be it, in the twenty-third year of sovereign Yah Ash, the priests had not strengthened the breaches of the house:
and sovereign Yah Ash calls to Yah Yada the priest and to the priests and says to them, Why strengthen you not the breaches of the house? And now take no silver of your acquaintances but give it for the breaches of the house.
And the priests consent to neither take silver of the people nor strengthen the breaches of the house:
and Yah Yada the priest takes one ark and bores a hole in the door and gives it beside the sacrifice altar - on the right side as man enters the house of Yah Veh: and the priests guarding the threshold give therein all the silver brought into the house of Yah Veh.
And so be it, they see much silver in the ark, and the scribe and the great priest of the sovereign ascend and bind and number the silver found in the house of Yah Veh:
and they give the gauged silver into the hands of them who work the work - the overseers of the house of Yah Veh: and they bring it to the carvers of timber and builders who work on the house of Yah Veh;
and to wallers and hewers of stone; and to chattel timber and hewed stone to strengthen the breaches of the house of Yah Veh; and for all that goes to strengthen the house.
Only, there are no workings for the house of Yah Veh - basons of silver, tweezers, sprinklers, trumpets, any instruments of gold, or instruments of silver, of the silver brought into the house of Yah Veh:
but they give that to them who do the work - who strengthen the house of Yah Veh.
And they fabricate not with the men into whose hand they give the silver to give to them who do the work: for they work trustworthily.
They bring not the silver for the guilt and the silver for the sin into the house of Yah Veh - it is for the priests.
Then Haza El sovereign of Aram ascends and fights Gath and captures it: and Haza El sets his face to ascend to Yeru Shalem:
and Yah Ash sovereign of Yah Hudah takes all the holies Yah Shaphat and Yah Ram and Achaz Yah his fathers, sovereigns of Yah Hudah, hallowed: and his own holies and all the gold found in the treasures of the house of Yah Veh and in the house of the sovereign and sends it to Haza El sovereign of Aram: and he ascends from Yeru Shalem.
And the rest of the words of Yah Ash and all he worked, are they not inscribed in the scroll of the words of the days of the sovereigns of Yah Hudah?
And his servants rise and conspire a conspiracy and smite Yah Ash in the house of Millo, which descends to Silla.
Yes, Yah Zachar the son of Shimeath and Yah Zabad the son of Shomer, his servants, smite him and he dies; and they entomb him with his fathers in the city of David: and Amaz Yah his son reigns in his stead.
