THE ARK RETURNED
And the ark of Yah Veh is in the field of the Peleshethiy seven months: 2 and the Peleshethiy call for the priests and the diviners, saying, What work we to the ark of Yah Veh? - to know how to send it to his place. 3 And they say, When you send the ark of Elohim of Yisra El, send it not empty; but in returning, return it with that for the guilt: then you become healed; and know why his hand turns not aside from you. 4 Then they say, What return we to him for the guilt? They say, Five golden hemorrhoids and five golden mice, according to the number of the ringleaders of the Peleshethiy: for one plague is on you all and on your ringleaders. 5 Work images of your hemorrhoids and images of your mice that ruin the land; and give honor to Elohim of Yisra El: perhaps he slightens his hand from off you and from off your elohim and from off your land. 6 Why callous your hearts, as the Misrayim and Paroh calloused their hearts? When he exploited among them, sent they not the people away - and they went? 7 So now work one new wagon; and take two suckling heifers on which no yoke ascended; and hitch the heifers to the wagon; and turn their sons to their house: 8 and take the ark of Yah Veh and give it on the wagon; and set the instruments of gold which you return him for the guilt in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, to go; 9 and see: if it ascends by the way of its own border to Beth Shemesh, then he works us this great evil: but if not, then we know it is not his hand that touches us: it is a happening that happens us. 10 And thus the men work; and take two suckling heifers and hitch them to the wagon and restrain their sons at the house: 11 and on the wagon they set the ark of Yah Veh and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their hemorrhoids. 12 And the heifers take the straight way to the way of Beth Shemesh and in going, go on one path, bellowing as they go, and turn not aside, right or left; and the ringleaders of the Peleshethiy go after them to the border of Beth Shemesh. 13 And they of Beth Shemesh harvest their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lift their eyes and see the ark and cheer to see it: 14 and the wagon comes into the field of Yah Shua, a Beth Shemeshiy; and stands there: and a great stone is there: and they split the timber of the wagon and holocaust the heifers - a holocaust to Yah Veh. 15 And the Leviym descend the ark of Yah Veh with the coffer wherein the instruments of gold are; and set them on the great stone: and the same day the men of Beth Shemesh holocaust holocausts and sacrifice sacrifices to Yah Veh: 16 and the five ringleaders of the Peleshethiy see it, and return to Eqron the same day. 17 And these are the golden hemorrhoids the Peleshethiy return to Yah Veh for the guilt: for Ashdod one; for Azzah one; for Ashqelon one; for Gath one; for Eqron one: 18 and the golden mice: for the number of all the cities of the Peleshethiy belonging to the five ringleaders of fortified cities and of villages of the suburbs even to the great Abel; whereon they descend the ark of Yah Veh: to this day in the field of Yah Shua the Beth Shemeshiy. 19 And he smites the men of Beth Shemesh because they saw into the ark of Yah Veh; and of the people he smites fifty thousand and seventy men: and the people mourn because Yah Veh smites the people a great stroke. 20 And the men of Beth Shemesh say, Who is able to stand at the face of Yah Veh, this holy Elohim? And to whom ascends he from us? 21 And they send angels to the settlers of Qiryath Arim saying, The Peleshethiy bring again the ark of Yah Veh; they descend and ascend it to you.
