BLB⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, ² being tempted forty days by the devil. And He ate nothing in those days, and they having ended, He was hungry. ³ And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, speak to this stone, that it should become bread.” ⁴ And Jesus answered to him, “It has been written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
