ABU⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ AND Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan; and he was led in the Sprit into the wilderness ² forty days, tempted by the Devil. And he ate nothing in those days; and when they were ended, he hungered. ³ And the Devil said to him: If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it become bread. ⁴ And Jesus answered him, saying: It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone.
