Luke 24:20-27 ὅπως (that) τε (then) παρέδωκαν (delivered up) αὐτὸν (him) οἱ (the) ἀρχιερεῖς (chief priests) καὶ (and) οἱ (the) ἄρχοντες (rulers) ἡμῶν (of us) εἰς (to) κρίμα (the judgment) θανάτου (of death), καὶ (and) ἐσταύρωσαν (crucified) αὐτόν (Him).

BIB⁽ⁱ⁾ ²⁰ ὅπως (that) τε (then) παρέδωκαν (delivered up) αὐτὸν (him) οἱ (the) ἀρχιερεῖς (chief priests) καὶ (and) οἱ (the) ἄρχοντες (rulers) ἡμῶν (of us) εἰς (to) κρίμα (the judgment) θανάτου (of death), καὶ (and) ἐσταύρωσαν (crucified) αὐτόν (Him). ²¹ ἡμεῖς (We) δὲ (however) ἠλπίζομεν (were hoping) ὅτι (-) αὐτός (He) ἐστιν (it is) ὁ (who) μέλλων (is about) λυτροῦσθαι (to redeem) τὸν (-) Ἰσραήλ (Israel). ἀλλά (But) γε (indeed) καὶ (also) σὺν (with) πᾶσιν (all) τούτοις (these things), τρίτην (the third) ταύτην (this) ἡμέραν (day) ἄγει (brings), ἀφ’ (away from) οὗ (which) ταῦτα (these things) ἐγένετο (came to pass). ²² Ἀλλὰ (However) καὶ (also) γυναῖκές (women) τινες (certain) ἐξ (out from) ἡμῶν (us) ἐξέστησαν (astonished) ἡμᾶς (us). γενόμεναι (Having been) ὀρθριναὶ (early) ἐπὶ (to) τὸ (the) μνημεῖον (tomb) ²³ καὶ (and) μὴ (not) εὑροῦσαι (having found) τὸ (the) σῶμα (body) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἦλθον (they came) λέγουσαι (declaring) καὶ (also) ὀπτασίαν (a vision) ἀγγέλων (of angels) ἑωρακέναι (to have seen), οἳ (who) λέγουσιν (say) αὐτὸν (He) ζῆν (is alive). ²⁴ καὶ (And) ἀπῆλθόν (went) τινες (some) τῶν (of those) σὺν (with) ἡμῖν (us) ἐπὶ (to) τὸ (the) μνημεῖον (tomb) καὶ (and) εὗρον (found it) οὕτως (so), καθὼς (as) καὶ (also) αἱ (the) γυναῖκες (women) εἶπον (said); αὐτὸν (Him) δὲ (however) οὐκ (not) εἶδον (they saw).” ²⁵ Καὶ (And) αὐτὸς (He) εἶπεν (said) πρὸς (to) αὐτούς (them), “Ὦ (O) ἀνόητοι (foolish) καὶ (and) βραδεῖς (slow) τῇ (-) καρδίᾳ (of heart) τοῦ (-) πιστεύειν (to believe) ἐπὶ (in) πᾶσιν (all) οἷς (that) ἐλάλησαν (have spoken) οἱ (the) προφῆται (prophets). ²⁶ οὐχὶ (Not) ταῦτα (these things) ἔδει (was it necessary for) παθεῖν (to suffer) τὸν (the) Χριστὸν (Christ) καὶ (and) εἰσελθεῖν (to enter) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) δόξαν (glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him)?” ²⁷ καὶ (And) ἀρξάμενος (having begun) ἀπὸ (from) Μωϋσέως (Moses) καὶ (and) ἀπὸ (from) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) προφητῶν (Prophets), διερμήνευσεν (He interpreted) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἐν (in) πάσαις (all) ταῖς (the) γραφαῖς (Scriptures) τὰ (the things) περὶ (concerning) ἑαυτοῦ (Himself).
