Luke 24:20-27

Thomson(i) 20 how our chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and they have crucified him. 21 Now we were hoping that he is the person who would soon deliver Israel. But indeed with all this, it is now the third day since these things happened. 22 But again some women of our company have astonished us; having been at the sepulchre very early in the morning, 23 and not finding his body, they came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who say that he is alive. 24 Whereupon some of the men who were with us went to the sepulchre, and found matters just as the women said: but him they did not see. 25 Then he said to them, O thoughtless, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory? 27 Then beginning with Moses and proceeding through all the prophets, he explained to them, by all those writings, the things concerning himself.
