Luke 24:20-27

Williams(i) 20 and how the high priests and leading men turned Him over to be sentenced to death, and had Him crucified. 21 But we kept hoping that He was the One who was coming to set Israel free. Moreover, besides all this, it is now the third day since these things occurred. 22 Yes, indeed, some women of our number have astounded us! They went to the tomb early this morning 23 and could not find His body, but came and told us that they had actually had a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 Then some of our company went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Him." 25 Then He said to them, "O men sluggish in mind and slow in heart to believe all that the prophets have said! 26 Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and thus to enter into His glory?" 27 Then He began with Moses and went through all the prophets and explained to them all the passages in the Scriptures about Himself.
