BIB(i) 1 Ἰούδας (Jude), Ἰησοῦ (of Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ) δοῦλος (servant), ἀδελφὸς (brother) δὲ (then) Ἰακώβου (of James), Τοῖς (To those) ἐν (in) Θεῷ (God) Πατρὶ (the Father) ἠγαπημένοις (having been loved) καὶ (and) Ἰησοῦ (in Jesus) Χριστῷ (Christ) τετηρημένοις (having been kept) κλητοῖς (called). 2 Ἔλεος (Mercy) ὑμῖν (to you) καὶ (and) εἰρήνη (peace) καὶ (and) ἀγάπη (love) πληθυνθείη (be multiplied). 3 Ἀγαπητοί (Beloved), πᾶσαν (all) σπουδὴν (diligence) ποιούμενος (using) γράφειν (to write) ὑμῖν (to you) περὶ (concerning) τῆς (-) κοινῆς (common) ἡμῶν (of us) σωτηρίας (salvation), ἀνάγκην (necessity) ἔσχον (I had) γράψαι (to write) ὑμῖν (to you), παρακαλῶν (exhorting you) ἐπαγωνίζεσθαι (to contend earnestly) τῇ (for the) ἅπαξ (once for all) παραδοθείσῃ (having been delivered) τοῖς (to the) ἁγίοις (saints) πίστει (faith). 4 παρεισέδυσαν* (Came in stealthily) γάρ (for) τινες (certain) ἄνθρωποι (men), οἱ (those) πάλαι (long ago) προγεγραμμένοι (having been designated) εἰς (unto) τοῦτο (this) τὸ (-) κρίμα (condemnation), ἀσεβεῖς (ungodly ones), τὴν (the) τοῦ (of the) Θεοῦ (God) ἡμῶν (of us) χάριτα (grace) μετατιθέντες (changing) εἰς (into) ἀσέλγειαν (sensuality), καὶ (and) τὸν (the) μόνον (only) Δεσπότην (master) καὶ (and) Κύριον (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us) Ἰησοῦν (Jesus) Χριστὸν (Christ) ἀρνούμενοι (denying). 5 Ὑπομνῆσαι (To remind) δὲ (now) ὑμᾶς (you) βούλομαι (I want), εἰδότας (having known) ‹ὑμᾶς› (you) ἅπαξ (at one time) «πάντα (all this), ὅτι (that) Ἰησοῦς» (Jesus) λαὸν (a people) ἐκ (out of) γῆς (the land) Αἰγύπτου (of Egypt) σώσας (having saved), τὸ (-) δεύτερον (afterward) τοὺς (those) μὴ (not) πιστεύσαντας (having believed), ἀπώλεσεν (He destroyed). 6 ἀγγέλους (The angels) τε (both) τοὺς (-) μὴ (not) τηρήσαντας (having kept) τὴν (own) ἑαυτῶν (their) ἀρχὴν (domain), ἀλλὰ (but) ἀπολιπόντας (having left) τὸ (the) ἴδιον (own) οἰκητήριον (dwelling), εἰς (unto) κρίσιν (the judgment) μεγάλης (of the great) ἡμέρας (day), δεσμοῖς (in chains) ἀϊδίοις (eternal) ὑπὸ (under) ζόφον (darkness) τετήρηκεν (He keeps), 7 ὡς (just as) Σόδομα (Sodom) καὶ (and) Γόμορρα (Gomorrah) καὶ (and) αἱ (the) περὶ (around) αὐτὰς (them) πόλεις (cities), τὸν (-) ὅμοιον (in like) τρόπον (manner) τούτοις (with them) ἐκπορνεύσασαι (having indulged in sexual immorality) καὶ (and) ἀπελθοῦσαι (having gone) ὀπίσω (after) σαρκὸς (flesh) ἑτέρας (strange), πρόκεινται (are set forth as) δεῖγμα (an example) πυρὸς (of fire) αἰωνίου (eternal) δίκην (the penalty) ὑπέχουσαι (undergoing). 8 Ὁμοίως (Likewise) μέντοι (yet) καὶ (also) οὗτοι (these) ἐνυπνιαζόμενοι (dreaming ones), σάρκα (the flesh) μὲν (indeed) μιαίνουσιν (defile), κυριότητα (authority) δὲ (then) ἀθετοῦσιν (set aside), δόξας (glorious ones) δὲ (and) βλασφημοῦσιν (blaspheme). 9 ὁ (-) δὲ (But) Μιχαὴλ (Michael) ὁ (the) ἀρχάγγελος (archangel), ὅτε (when) τῷ (with the) διαβόλῳ (devil) διακρινόμενος (disputing), διελέγετο (he was reasoning) περὶ (about) τοῦ (-) Μωϋσέως (Moses’) σώματος (body), οὐκ (not) ἐτόλμησεν (did dare) κρίσιν (a judgment) ἐπενεγκεῖν (to bring against him) βλασφημίας (blasphemous), ἀλλὰ (but) εἶπεν (said), “Ἐπιτιμήσαι (Rebuke) σοι (you), Κύριος (the Lord).” 10 οὗτοι (These) δὲ (however), ὅσα (whatever things) μὲν (indeed) οὐκ (not) οἴδασιν (they have seen) βλασφημοῦσιν (they speak evil of); ὅσα (whatever things) δὲ (then) φυσικῶς (naturally), ὡς (as) τὰ (the) ἄλογα (irrational) ζῷα (animals), ἐπίστανται (they understand), ἐν (in) τούτοις (these things) φθείρονται (they corrupt themselves). 11 οὐαὶ (Woe) αὐτοῖς (to them), ὅτι (because) τῇ (in the) ὁδῷ (way) τοῦ (-) Κάϊν (of Cain) ἐπορεύθησαν (they went), καὶ (and) τῇ (to the) πλάνῃ (error) τοῦ (-) Βαλαὰμ (of Balaam) μισθοῦ (for reward) ἐξεχύθησαν (they rushed), καὶ (and) τῇ (in the) ἀντιλογίᾳ (rebellion) τοῦ (-) Κόρε (of Korah) ἀπώλοντο (they perished). 12 Οὗτοί (These) εἰσιν (are) οἱ (the ones) ἐν (in) ταῖς (the) ἀγάπαις (love feasts) ὑμῶν (of you), σπιλάδες (hidden reefs), συνευωχούμενοι (feasting together with you) ἀφόβως (fearlessly), ἑαυτοὺς (themselves) ποιμαίνοντες (shepherding); νεφέλαι (clouds) ἄνυδροι (without water), ὑπὸ (by) ἀνέμων (winds) παραφερόμεναι (being carried about); δένδρα (trees) φθινοπωρινὰ (autumnal) ἄκαρπα (without fruit), δὶς (twice) ἀποθανόντα (having died), ἐκριζωθέντα (having been uprooted); 13 κύματα (waves) ἄγρια (wild) θαλάσσης (of the sea), ἐπαφρίζοντα (foaming out) τὰς (-) ἑαυτῶν (of their) αἰσχύνας (shame); ἀστέρες (stars) πλανῆται (wandering), οἷς (to whom) ὁ (the) ζόφος (gloom) τοῦ (-) σκότους (of darkness) εἰς (to) αἰῶνα (the age) τετήρηται (has been reserved). 14 Προεφήτευσεν* (Prophesied) δὲ (then) καὶ (also) τούτοις (as to these) ἕβδομος (the seventh) ἀπὸ (from) Ἀδὰμ (Adam), Ἑνὼχ (Enoch), λέγων (saying): “Ἰδοὺ (Behold), ἦλθεν (has come) Κύριος (the Lord) ἐν (amidst) ἁγίαις (holy ones) μυριάσιν (myriads) αὐτοῦ (of His), 15 ποιῆσαι (to execute) κρίσιν (judgment) κατὰ (against) πάντων (all), καὶ (and) ἐλέγξαι (to convict) πάντας (all) τοὺς (the) ἀσεβεῖς (ungodly) περὶ (concerning) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) ἔργων (works) ἀσεβείας (of ungodliness) αὐτῶν (of them) ὧν (which) ἠσέβησαν (they have done in an ungodly way), καὶ (and) περὶ (concerning) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) σκληρῶν (harsh things) ὧν (that) ἐλάλησαν (have spoken) κατ’ (against) αὐτοῦ (Him) ἁμαρτωλοὶ (sinners) ἀσεβεῖς (ungodly).” 16 Οὗτοί (These) εἰσιν (are) γογγυσταί (grumblers), μεμψίμοιροι (discontented), κατὰ (after) τὰς (the) ἐπιθυμίας (lusts) αὐτῶν (own) πορευόμενοι (following); καὶ (and) τὸ (the) στόμα (mouth) αὐτῶν (of them) λαλεῖ (speaks) ὑπέρογκα (great swelling words), θαυμάζοντες (flattering) πρόσωπα (faces) ὠφελείας (profit) χάριν (for the sake of). 17 Ὑμεῖς (You) δέ (however), ἀγαπητοί (beloved), μνήσθητε (remember) τῶν (the) ῥημάτων (words) τῶν (-) προειρημένων (having been spoken beforehand) ὑπὸ (by) τῶν (the) ἀποστόλων (apostles) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ), 18 ὅτι (that) ἔλεγον (they were saying) ὑμῖν (to you), “Ἐπ’ (In) ἐσχάτου (the last) τοῦ (-) χρόνου (time) ἔσονται (there will be) ἐμπαῖκται (scoffers), κατὰ (after) τὰς (-) ἑαυτῶν (their own) ἐπιθυμίας (passions) πορευόμενοι (following), τῶν (-) ἀσεβειῶν (of ungodlinesses).” 19 Οὗτοί (These) εἰσιν (are) οἱ (those) ἀποδιορίζοντες (causing divisions), ψυχικοί (worldly-minded), Πνεῦμα (the Spirit) μὴ (not) ἔχοντες (having). 20 Ὑμεῖς (You) δέ (however), ἀγαπητοί (beloved), ἐποικοδομοῦντες (building up) ἑαυτοὺς (yourselves), τῇ (in the) ἁγιωτάτῃ (most holy) ὑμῶν (of you) πίστει (faith) ἐν (in) Πνεύματι (the Spirit) Ἁγίῳ (Holy) προσευχόμενοι (praying), 21 ἑαυτοὺς (yourselves) ἐν (in) ἀγάπῃ (the love) Θεοῦ (of God) τηρήσατε (keep), προσδεχόμενοι (awaiting) τὸ (the) ἔλεος (mercy) τοῦ (of the) Κυρίου (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ), εἰς (unto) ζωὴν (life) αἰώνιον (eternal). 22 Καὶ (And) οὓς (those who) μὲν (indeed) ἐλεᾶτε (have mercy on), διακρινομένους (are doubting); 23 ‹οὓς (others) δὲ› (also) σῴζετε (save), ἐκ (out of) πυρὸς (the fire) ἁρπάζοντες (snatching); οὓς (to others) δὲ (then) ἐλεᾶτε (show mercy) ἐν (with) φόβῳ (fear), μισοῦντες (hating) καὶ (even) τὸν (the) ἀπὸ (by) τῆς (the) σαρκὸς (flesh) ἐσπιλωμένον (having been stained) χιτῶνα (clothing). 24 Τῷ (To Him) δὲ (now) δυναμένῳ (being able) φυλάξαι (to keep) ὑμᾶς (you) ἀπταίστους (from stumbling) καὶ (and) στῆσαι (to present you) κατενώπιον (in the presence of) τῆς (the) δόξης (glory) αὐτοῦ (of Him), ἀμώμους (blameless) ἐν (with) ἀγαλλιάσει (exultation) — 25 μόνῳ (to the only) Θεῷ (God) Σωτῆρι (Savior) ἡμῶν (of us), διὰ (through) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus) Χριστοῦ (Christ) τοῦ (the) Κυρίου (Lord) ἡμῶν (of us), δόξα (be glory), μεγαλωσύνη (majesty), κράτος (dominion), καὶ (and) ἐξουσία (authority), πρὸ (before) παντὸς (all) τοῦ (-) αἰῶνος (time) καὶ (and) νῦν (now), καὶ (and) εἰς (to) πάντας (all) τοὺς (the) αἰῶνας (ages).
