48 H40 And Abimelech H5927 gat him up H2022 to mount H6756 Zalmon, H5971 he and all the people H40 that were with him; and Abimelech H3947 took H7134 an axe H3027 in his hand, H3772 and cut down H7754 a bough H6086 from the trees, H5375 and took H7760 it up, and laid H7926 it on his shoulder: H559 and he said H5971 unto the people H7200 that were with him, What ye have seen H6213 me do, H4116 make haste, H6213 and do H3644 as I have done.

49 H5971 And all the people H3772 likewise cut down H376 every man H7754 his bough, H3212 and followed H40 Abimelech, H7760 and put H6877 them to the stronghold, H3341 and set H6877 the stronghold H784 on fire H582 upon them; so that all the men H4026 of the tower H7927 of Shechem H4191 died H505 also, about a thousand H376 men H802 and women.
