Daniel 5:1-12 Belshazzar the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

2 H1113 Belshazzar, H2942 while he tasted H2562 the wine, H560 commanded H858 to bring H1722 the golden H3702 and silver H3984 vessels H5020 which Nebuchadnezzar H2 his father H5312 had taken H4481 out of H1965 the temple H3390 which was in Jerusalem; H4430 that the king H7261 and his lords, H7695 his wives H3904 and his concubines, H8355 might drink therefrom.

3 H116 Then H858 they brought H1722 the golden H3984 vessels H5312 that were taken H4481 out of H1965 the temple H1005 of the house H426 of God H3390 which was at Jerusalem; H4430 and the king H7261 and his lords, H7695 his wives H3904 and his concubines, H8355 drank from them.

4 H8355 They drank H2562 wine, H7624 and praised H426 the gods H1722 of gold, H3702 and of silver, H5174 of brass, H6523 of iron, H636 of wood, H69 and of stone.

5 H8160 In the same hour H5312 came forth H677 the fingers H606 of a man's H3028 hand, H3790 and wrote H6903 over against H5043 the candlestick H5922 upon H1528 the plaster H3797 of the wall H4430 of the king's H1965 palace: H4430 and the king H2370 saw H6447 the part H3028 of the hand H3790 that wrote.

6 H116 Then H4430 the king's H2122 countenance H8133 was changed H7476 in him, and his thoughts H927 troubled H7001 him; and the joints H2783 of his loins H8271 were loosed, H755 and his knees H5368 smote H1668 one H1668 against another.

7 H4430 The king H7123 cried H2429 aloud H5954 to bring H826 in the enchanters, H3779 the Chaldeans, H1505 and the soothsayers. H4430 The king H6032 spake H560 and said H2445 to the wise H895 men of Babylon, H606 Whosoever H7123 shall read H1836 this H3792 writing, H2324 and show H6591 me the interpretation H3848 thereof, shall be clothed H711 with purple, H2002 and have a chain H1722 of gold H5922 about H6676 his neck, H8523 and shall be the third H7981 ruler H4437 in the kingdom.

8 H116 Then H5954 came H3606 in all H4430 the king's H2445 wise H3546 men; but they could H3809 not H7123 read H3792 the writing, H3046 nor make known H4430 to the king H6591 the interpretation.

9 H116 Then H4430 was king H1113 Belshazzar H7690 greatly H927 troubled, H2122 and his countenance H8133 was changed H5922 in him, H7261 and his lords H7672 were perplexed.

10 H4433 Now the queen H6903 by reason H4406 of the words H4430 of the king H7261 and his lords H5954 came H4961 into the banquet H1005 house: H4433 the queen H6032 spake H560 and said, H4430 O king, H2418 live H5957 for ever; H409 let not H7476 thy thoughts H927 trouble H2122 thee, nor let thy countenance H8133 be changed.

11 H383 There is H1400 a man H4437 in thy kingdom, H7308 in whom is the spirit H6922 of the holy H426 gods; H3118 and in the days H2 of thy father H5094 light H7924 and understanding H2452 and wisdom, H2452 like the wisdom H426 of the gods, H7912 were found H4430 in him; and the king H5020 Nebuchadnezzar H2 thy father, H4430 the king, H2 I say, thy father, H6966 made H7229 him master H2749 of the magicians, H826 enchanters, H3779 Chaldeans, H1505 and soothsayers;

12 H6903 forasmuch as H3493 an excellent H7308 spirit, H4486 and knowledge, H7924 and understanding, H6590 interpreting H2493 of dreams, H263 and showing H280 of dark sentences, H8271 and dissolving H7001 of doubts, H7912 were found H1841 in the same Daniel, H4430 whom the king H7761 named H1096 Belteshazzar. H3705 Now H1841 let Daniel H7123 be called, H2324 and he will show H6591 the interpretation.
