¹ And looking up, He saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

¹⁹ But all the silver and gold, and vessels of bronze and iron, are devoted to Jehovah. They shall come into the treasury of Jehovah.

²⁴ And they burned the city with fire, and all that was in it. Only the silver and the gold, and the vessels of bronze and iron, they put into the treasury of the house of Jehovah.

²⁶ And he took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house. He took all away. And he took away all the shields of gold which Solomon had made.

¹³ And he carried out from there all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.

⁶ And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

¹¹ But you say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, Corban! (that is, A gift to God, whatever you may profit by me) ¹² and you no longer allow him to do anything toward his father or mother, ¹³ making the Word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have delivered. And you do many such things.

⁴¹ And sitting down opposite the treasury, Jesus watched how the people threw copper coins into the treasury. And many rich ones threw in much. ⁴² And a certain poor widow came, and she threw in two lepta, which is a kodrantes. ⁴³ And He called His disciples and said to them, Truly I say to you that this poor widow has cast in more than all those who have cast into the treasury. ⁴⁴ For all cast in from their abundance. But she, out of her poverty, has cast in all that she had, all her livelihood.

²⁰ Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as He taught in the temple. And no man laid hands upon Him, for His hour had not yet come.
