I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God. ²⁵ And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be quiet, and come out of him. ²⁶ And the unclean spirit, convulsing him, and crying with a loud voice, he came out of him. ²⁷ They all were amazed, so as to question among themselves, saying, What is this? What new doctrine is this? For He even commands the unclean spirits with authority, and they obey Him. ²⁸ And immediately His fame went out into all the Galilean neighborhood. ²⁹ And immediately after they had come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. ³⁰ But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and at once they told Him about her. ³¹ And He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up. And instantly the fever left her, and she served them. ³² And at evening, when the sun set, they brought all those who were diseased to Him, and those who had been demon-possessed. ³³ And all the city had gathered at the door. ³⁴ And He healed many who were sick of different diseases, and cast out many demons. And He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. ³⁵ And rising up quite early in the night, He went out and went away into a deserted place, and He was praying there. ³⁶ And Simon, and those with him, searched for Him. ³⁷ And finding Him, they said to Him, All are seeking You. ³⁸ And He said to them, Let us go into the next towns so that I may proclaim there also. For that reason I came forth. ³⁹ And He proclaimed in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out demons. ⁴⁰ And a leper came to Him, begging Him and kneeling down to Him, and saying to Him, If You will, You can make me clean. ⁴¹ And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I will; be clean! ⁴² And He having spoken, the leprosy instantly departed from him and he was cleansed. ⁴³ And He strictly charged him and immediately sent him away, ⁴⁴ and He said to him, See that you say nothing to anyone. But go and show yourself to the priest, and offer those things which Moses commanded for your cleansing, for a testimony to them. ⁴⁵ But going out, he began to proclaim it very much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was outside in deserted places. And they came to Him from every quarter.

³ And God said, Let there be light. And there was light.

¹ And Jehovah spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, ² When a man has a rising in the skin of his flesh, or a scab or bright spot, and it is in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests. ³ And the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh. And if the hair in the plague has turned white, and the plague in sight is deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy. And the priest shall look on him and shall pronounce him unclean. ⁴ And if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight is not deeper than the skin, and the hair of it has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the plague seven days. ⁵ And the priest shall look on him the seventh day. And behold, if the plague in his sight is stayed; the plague has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days more. ⁶ And the priest shall look on him again in the seventh day. And, behold, if the plague is somewhat dark; the plague has not spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab. And he shall wash his clothes and be clean. ⁷ But if the scab spreads greatly in the skin after he has been seen by the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen by the priest again. ⁸ And if the priest sees that, behold, the scab spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a leprosy. ⁹ When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest. ¹⁰ And the priest shall look. And, behold, if the rising is white in the skin, and it has turned the hair white and there is live raw flesh in the rising, ¹¹ it is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh. And the priest shall pronounce him unclean, and shall not shut him up, for he is unclean. ¹² And if a leprosy breaks out greatly on the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the one who has the plague from his head even to his foot, to all that appears to the eyes of the priest, ¹³ then the priest shall look. And behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce the plague-spot clean. It has all turned white. He is clean. ¹⁴ But when raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.

And the priest shall look, and behold, if the plague of leprosy is healed in the leper, ⁴ then the priest shall command to take two clean live birds for him that is to be cleansed, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop. ⁵ And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. ⁶ He shall take the living bird, and the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the slain bird, over the running water. ⁷ And he shall sprinkle on him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field. ⁸ And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water so that he may be clean. And after that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days. ⁹ But on the seventh day he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eye-brows; even all his hair shall he shave off. And he shall wash his clothes. He also shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean. ¹⁰ And on the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three-tenth parts of fine flour for a food offering, mixed with oil, and one log of oil. ¹¹ And the priest who is cleansing, and the man who is to be cleansed, shall stand with them before Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. ¹² And the priest shall take one male lamb and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before Jehovah. ¹³ And he shall kill the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place. For as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy. ¹⁴ And the priest shall take of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. ¹⁵ And the priest shall take from the log of oil and pour into the palm of his own left hand. ¹⁶ And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil in his left hand and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before Jehovah. ¹⁷ And of the rest of the oil in his hand, the priest shall put on the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the trespass offering. ¹⁸ And the rest of the oil in the priest's palm he shall pour on the head of him that is to be cleansed. And the priest shall make an atonement for him before Jehovah. ¹⁹ And the priest shall offer the sin offering and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness. And afterward he shall kill the burnt offering. ²⁰ And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the food offering on the altar. And the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean. ²¹ And if he is poor and his hand cannot reach so much, then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one-tenth part of fine flour mixed with oil for a food offering, and a log of oil, ²² and two turtle-doves or two young pigeons, such as his hand can reach. And the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering. ²³ And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before Jehovah. ²⁴ And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before Jehovah. ²⁵ And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering. And the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before Jehovah. ³² This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to reach in his cleansing.

⁴⁰ If they shall confess their wilfulness and the wilfulness of their fathers, with their sin which they sinned against Me, and that also they have walked contrary to Me, ⁴¹ I also will walk contrary to them and will bring them into the land of their enemies. If then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they then pay for their iniquity, ⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham I will remember. And I will remember the land.

¹⁰ And the cloud moved from the tabernacle. And behold! Miriam became leprous, as snow. And Aaron looked on Miriam, and behold, she was leprous. ¹¹ And Aaron said to Moses, Oh, my lord, I beg you, do not lay upon us the sin in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned. ¹² Let her not be like one dead, of whom the flesh is half gone when he comes out of his mother's womb. ¹³ And Moses cried to Jehovah saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech You. ¹⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received. ¹⁵ And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days. And the people did not pull up stakes until Miriam was brought in.

¹¹ And it happened, at the end of forty days and forty nights Jehovah gave me the two tables of stone, the tablets of the covenant.

¹⁸ And I fell down before Jehovah, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sins which you sinned in doing wickedly in the sight of Jehovah to provoke Him to anger.

⁸ Be careful in the plague of leprosy, that you watch carefully and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you. As I commanded them, you shall be careful to do. ⁹ Remember what Jehovah your God did to Miriam by the wayside, after you had come forth out of Egypt.

⁹ who said to his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; and he has not acknowledged his brothers, nor knew his own son, for they have observed Your Word and kept Your covenant.

And he said, Behold, I said within myself, He will surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and strike his hand over the place and recover the leper. ¹² Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? And he turned and went away in a rage. ¹³ And his servants came near and spoke to him and said, My father, if the prophet had told you to do a great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean? ¹⁴ And he went down and dipped seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God. And his flesh came again like the flesh of a little boy, and he was clean. ¹⁵ And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company. And he came and stood before him. And he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel. And now please take a blessing from your servant. ¹⁶ But he said, As Jehovah lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. For your servant will from now on offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah. ¹⁸ In this thing may Jehovah pardon your servant, that when my master goes to the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he is supported by my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon; when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, may Jehovah pardon your servant in this thing. ¹⁹ And he said to him, Go in peace. ³ And four men, lepers, were at the gate entrance. And they said to one another, Why do we sit here until we die?

¹⁶ But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you, to declare My Precepts, and to take up My covenant in your mouth?

¹¹ I will remember the works of Jehovah; surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

¹⁸ For Jehovah is our shield; yea, our King is the Holy One of Israel. ¹⁹ Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and You said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have lifted up a chosen one out of the people.

¹² What shall I give to Jehovah for all His benefits toward me?

³ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground. I will pour My spirit on your seed, and My blessing on your offspring;

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; ² to preach the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified.

¹ Oh that You would tear the heavens and come down, that mountains would quake before You,

²⁹ Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

²⁵ And I will sprinkle clean waters on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from your idols. ²⁶ And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them.

¹⁰ And it will be, the fishermen shall stand on it from En-gedi even to En-eglaim, a spreading place for nets shall be there. Their fish shall be according to their kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea, very many.

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other peoples, but it shall crush and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going out of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction.

Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that the tax-collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. ³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. For you pay tithes of mint and dill and cummin, and you have left undone the weightier matters of the Law, judgment, mercy, and faith. You ought to have done these and not to leave the other undone. ²⁴ Blind guides who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

³ For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they immerse their hands with the fist, holding the tradition of the elders. ⁴ And coming from the market, they do not eat without immersing, and there are many other things which they have received to hold, the dippings of cups and pots, and of copper vessels, and of tables. ⁵ Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, Why do your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat loaves with unwashed hands? ⁶ But He answered and said to them, Well has Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, "This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. ⁷ However, they worship Me in vain, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." ⁸ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men, the dippings of pots and cups. And many other such things you do. ⁹ And He said to them, Do you do well to set aside the commandment of God, so that you may keep your own tradition? ¹⁰ For Moses said, "Honor your father and your mother." And, "Whoever curses father or mother, let him die the death." ¹¹ But you say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, Corban! (that is, A gift to God, whatever you may profit by me) ¹² and you no longer allow him to do anything toward his father or mother, ¹³ making the Word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have delivered. And you do many such things.
