²⁰ Yet the eyes of the wicked shall be exhausted, And flight to safety will perish for them And their expectation become their expiring soul.

¹⁶ indeed, I Myself shall do this to you:I will visit panic upon you, attenuation and fever, making the eyesight vanish and causing the soul to pine; and you will sow your seed for naught, for your enemies will eat it.

⁶⁵ And among those nations you shall neither find respite, nor shall there be a resting place for the sole of your foot, and Yahweh will give to you there a disturbed heart, a failure of the eyes and pining of the soul.

¹³ So are the paths laid for all those forgetting El, And so the expectation of the polluted shall perish, ¹⁴ He whose confidence is a web, And his trust is a spider's house.

⁵ Such a one is telling his associates to share a portion with him, While the eyes of his own sons are failing.

¹⁴ He shall be pulled away from his tent where his trust had dwelt; And it makes him march to the king of decay.

⁸ For what expectation can the polluted have when he is clipped off, When Eloah eases away his soul?

²² One shall fling stones against him and not spare As he runs away, yea away from his hand.

¹⁶ If I have withheld the desire of the poor And have caused the eyes of the widow to fail,

²² There is no darkness and no blackest shadow To conceal there the contrivers of lawlessness.

³ I am weary with all my calling; my throat is parched. My eyes have failed, waiting for my Elohim."

²⁴ What the wicked one shrinks from, it shall come to him, And what the righteous yearn for shall be given."

²⁰ He who maledicts his father and his mother, His lamp shall be extinguished at the approach of darkness."

¹⁷ Furthermore for us our eyes are exhausted looking for our help in vain; From our watchtower we watched for a nation which could not save us.

¹⁴ Yet fleeing shall perish from the fleet one, and the steadfast shall not make his vigor resolute, and the master shall not escape with his soul,

¹⁹ just as a man is fleeing from the face of the lion, and the bear comes on him, and he enters the house and supports his hand on the sidewall, and the serpent bites him." ²⁰ Shall not the day of Yahweh be darkness, and not light? And gloom, and no brightness to it?

¹ I see Yahweh stationed over the altar, and He is saying, Smite the sphere-like capital, and the thresholds will quake; clip them at the head, all of them, and I will kill the hindmost of them with the sword. He shall not flee with those who are fleeing, and he shall not escape with those who are delivered." ² If they are burrowing into the unseen, thence My hand will take them. And if they are ascending to the heavens, thence will I bring them down." ³ And if they are hiding in the summit of Carmel, thence will I search and take them. And if they are concealed from in front of My eyes on the floor of the sea, thence will I instruct the serpent, and it will bite them."

²³ And in the unseen, lifting up his eyes, existing in torments, he is seeing Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom." ²⁴ And he shouting, said, 'Father Abraham, be merciful to me, and send Lazarus that he should be dipping the tip of his finger in water and cooling my tongue, for I am pained in this flame.'" ²⁵ Now Abraham said, 'Child, be reminded that you got your good things in your life, and Lazarus likewise evil things. Yet now here he is being consoled, yet you are in pain." ²⁶ And in all this, between us and you a great chasm has been established, so that those wanting to cross hence to you may not be able, nor yet those thence may be ferrying to us.'"

³ how shall we be escaping when neglecting a salvation of such proportions which, obtaining a beginning through the speaking of the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who hear Him,
