¹⁵ ποιῆσαι (to execute) κρίσιν (judgment) κατὰ (against) πάντων (all), καὶ (and) ἐλέγξαι (to convict) πάντας (all) τοὺς (the) ἀσεβεῖς (ungodly) περὶ (concerning) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) ἔργων (works) ἀσεβείας (of ungodliness) αὐτῶν (of them) ὧν (which) ἠσέβησαν (they have done in an ungodly way), καὶ (and) περὶ (concerning) πάντων (all) τῶν (the) σκληρῶν (harsh things) ὧν (that) ἐλάλησαν (have spoken) κατ’ (against) αὐτοῦ (Him) ἁμαρτωλοὶ (sinners) ἀσεβεῖς (ungodly).”

³¹ Διὰ (Because of) τοῦτο (this) λέγω (I say) ὑμῖν (to you), πᾶσα (every) ἁμαρτία (sin) καὶ (and) βλασφημία (blasphemy) ἀφεθήσεται (will be forgiven) τοῖς (-) ἀνθρώποις (men); ἡ (-) δὲ (however) τοῦ (against) Πνεύματος (the Spirit) βλασφημία (blasphemy) οὐκ (not) ἀφεθήσεται (will be forgiven). ³² καὶ (And) ὃς (whoever) ἐὰν (if) εἴπῃ (speaks) λόγον (a word) κατὰ (against) τοῦ (the) Υἱοῦ (Son) τοῦ (-) ἀνθρώπου (of Man), ἀφεθήσεται (it will be forgiven) αὐτῷ (him); ὃς (whoever) δ’ (now) ἂν (-) εἴπῃ (speaks) κατὰ (against) τοῦ (-) Πνεύματος (Spirit) τοῦ (the) Ἁγίου (Holy), οὐκ (not) ἀφεθήσεται (it will be forgiven) αὐτῷ (him), οὔτε (neither) ἐν (in) τούτῳ (this) τῷ (-) αἰῶνι (age) οὔτε (nor) ἐν (in) τῷ (the) μέλλοντι (coming one). ³³ Ἢ (Either) ποιήσατε (make) τὸ (the) δένδρον (tree) καλὸν (good) καὶ (and) τὸν (the) καρπὸν (fruit) αὐτοῦ (of it) καλόν (good), ἢ (or) ποιήσατε (make) τὸ (the) δένδρον (tree) σαπρὸν (bad) καὶ (and) τὸν (the) καρπὸν (fruit) αὐτοῦ (of it) σαπρόν (bad); ἐκ (by) γὰρ (for) τοῦ (the) καρποῦ (fruit), τὸ (the) δένδρον (tree) γινώσκεται (is known). ³⁴ γεννήματα (Offspring) ἐχιδνῶν (of vipers), πῶς (how) δύνασθε (are you able) ἀγαθὰ (good things) λαλεῖν (to speak), πονηροὶ (evil) ὄντες (being)? ἐκ (Out of) γὰρ (for) τοῦ (the) περισσεύματος (abundance) τῆς (of the) καρδίας (heart), τὸ (the) στόμα (mouth) λαλεῖ (speaks). ³⁵ ὁ (The) ἀγαθὸς (good) ἄνθρωπος (man) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (his) ἀγαθοῦ (good) θησαυροῦ (treasure) ἐκβάλλει (puts forth) ἀγαθά (good things); καὶ (and) ὁ (the) πονηρὸς (evil) ἄνθρωπος (man) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (his) πονηροῦ (evil) θησαυροῦ (treasure) ἐκβάλλει (puts forth) πονηρά (evil things). ³⁶ λέγω (I say) δὲ (now) ὑμῖν (to you) ὅτι (that) πᾶν (every) ῥῆμα (word) ἀργὸν (careless) ὃ (that) λαλήσουσιν (will speak) οἱ (-) ἄνθρωποι (men), ἀποδώσουσιν (they will give) περὶ (of) αὐτοῦ (it) λόγον (an account) ἐν (in) ἡμέρᾳ (day) κρίσεως (of judgment). ³⁷ ἐκ (By) γὰρ (for) τῶν (the) λόγων (words) σου (of you), δικαιωθήσῃ (you will be justified), καὶ (and) ἐκ (by) τῶν (the) λόγων (words) σου (of you), καταδικασθήσῃ (you will be condemned).”

²² οὐδὲ (Not even) γὰρ (for) ὁ (the) Πατὴρ (Father) κρίνει (judges) οὐδένα (no one), ἀλλὰ (but) τὴν (-) κρίσιν (judgment) πᾶσαν (all) δέδωκεν (has given) τῷ (to the) Υἱῷ (Son), ²³ ἵνα (so that) πάντες (all) τιμῶσι (may honor) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), καθὼς (even as) τιμῶσι (they honor) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father). ὁ (He who) μὴ (not) τιμῶν (is honoring) τὸν (the) Υἱὸν (Son), οὐ (not) τιμᾷ (is honoring) τὸν (the) Πατέρα (Father), τὸν (the One) πέμψαντα (having sent) αὐτόν (Him).

²⁷ καὶ (And) ἐξουσίαν (authority) ἔδωκεν (He gave) αὐτῷ (Him) κρίσιν (judgment) ποιεῖν (to execute), ὅτι (because) Υἱὸς (Son) ἀνθρώπου (of Man) ἐστίν (He is).

³¹ καθότι (because) ἔστησεν (He set) ἡμέραν (a day) ἐν (in) ᾗ (which) μέλλει (He is about) κρίνειν (to judge) τὴν (the) οἰκουμένην (world) ἐν (in) δικαιοσύνῃ (righteousness), ἐν (by) ἀνδρὶ (a man) ᾧ (whom) ὥρισεν (He appointed), πίστιν (a guarantee) παρασχὼν (having provided) πᾶσιν (to all), ἀναστήσας (having raised) αὐτὸν (Him) ἐκ (out from) νεκρῶν (the dead).”

⁵ Κατὰ (Because of) δὲ (however) τὴν (the) σκληρότητά (hardness) σου (of you) καὶ (and) ἀμετανόητον (unrepentant) καρδίαν (heart), θησαυρίζεις (you are treasuring up) σεαυτῷ (to yourself) ὀργὴν (wrath) ἐν (in) ἡμέρᾳ (the day) ὀργῆς (of wrath) καὶ (and) ἀποκαλύψεως (revelation) δικαιοκρισίας (of righteous judgement) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God),

¹⁶ ἐν (on) 〈ᾗ〉 (that) ἡμέρᾳ (day) ‹ὅτε› (when) κρίνει (will judge) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) τὰ (the) κρυπτὰ (secrets) τῶν (-) ἀνθρώπων (of men), κατὰ (according to) τὸ (the) εὐαγγέλιόν (gospel) μου (of me), διὰ (by) Χριστοῦ (Christ) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus).

¹⁹ Οἴδαμεν (We know) δὲ (now) ὅτι (that) ὅσα (whatever) ὁ (the) νόμος (law) λέγει (says), τοῖς (to those) ἐν (under) τῷ (the) νόμῳ (law) λαλεῖ (it speaks), ἵνα (so that) πᾶν (every) στόμα (mouth) φραγῇ (may be stopped), καὶ (and) ὑπόδικος (under judgment) γένηται (may be) πᾶς (all) ὁ (the) κόσμος (world) τῷ (-) Θεῷ (to God). ²⁰ διότι (Therefore) ἐξ (by) ἔργων (works) νόμου (of the Law) οὐ (not) δικαιωθήσεται (will be justified) πᾶσα (any) σὰρξ (flesh) ἐνώπιον (before) αὐτοῦ (Him); διὰ (through) γὰρ (for) νόμου (the Law) ἐπίγνωσις (is knowledge) ἁμαρτίας (of sin).

¹⁰ Σὺ (You) δὲ (however), τί (why) κρίνεις (judge you) τὸν (the) ἀδελφόν (brother) σου (or you), ἢ (or) καὶ (also) σὺ (you) τί (why) ἐξουθενεῖς (do despise) τὸν (the) ἀδελφόν (brother) σου (of you)? πάντες (All) γὰρ (for) παραστησόμεθα (we will stand before) τῷ (the) βήματι (judgment seat) τοῦ (of) Θεοῦ (God).

⁵ Ὥστε (So then), μὴ (not) πρὸ (before the) καιροῦ (time) τι (anything) κρίνετε (judge), ἕως (until) ἂν (-) ἔλθῃ (shall have come) ὁ (the) Κύριος (Lord), ὃς (who) καὶ (both) φωτίσει (will bring to light) τὰ (the) κρυπτὰ (hidden things) τοῦ (-) σκότους (of darkness), καὶ (and) φανερώσει (will make manifest) τὰς (the) βουλὰς (motives) τῶν (of the) καρδιῶν (hearts); καὶ (and) τότε (then) ὁ (the) ἔπαινος (praise) γενήσεται (will come) ἑκάστῳ (to each) ἀπὸ (from) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (God).

¹³ τοὺς (Those) δὲ (however) ἔξω (outside) ὁ (-) Θεὸς (God) κρίνει (will judge). “Ἐξάρατε (Expel) τὸν (the) πονηρὸν (evil) ἐξ (out from) ὑμῶν (yourselves) αὐτῶν (that).”

⁹ εἰδὼς (knowing) τοῦτο (this), ὅτι (that) δικαίῳ (for a righteous one) νόμος (law) οὐ (not) κεῖται (is enacted), ἀνόμοις (for the lawless) δὲ (however), καὶ (and) ἀνυποτάκτοις (insubordinate), ἀσεβέσι (for the ungodly) καὶ (and) ἁμαρτωλοῖς (sinful), ἀνοσίοις (for the unholy) καὶ (and) βεβήλοις (profane), πατρολῴαις (for murderers of fathers) καὶ (and) μητρολῴαις (murderers of mothers), ἀνδροφόνοις (for slayers of man),

⁶ καὶ (and) πόλεις (the cities) Σοδόμων (of Sodom) καὶ (and) Γομόρρας (Gomorrah) τεφρώσας (having reduced to ashes), καταστροφῇ (to destruction) κατέκρινεν (He condemned them), ὑπόδειγμα (an example) μελλόντων (of what is coming on) ‹ἀσεβέσιν› (the ungodly) τεθεικώς (having set); ⁷ καὶ (and) δίκαιον (righteous) Λὼτ (Lot), καταπονούμενον (being distressed) ὑπὸ (by) τῆς (the) τῶν (of the) ἀθέσμων (lawless) ἐν (in) ἀσελγείᾳ (sensuality) ἀναστροφῆς (conduct), ἐρρύσατο (He rescued) — ⁸ βλέμματι (through seeing) γὰρ (for) καὶ (and) ἀκοῇ (hearing) ὁ (that) δίκαιος (righteous man), ἐνκατοικῶν (dwelling) ἐν (among) αὐτοῖς (them) ἡμέραν (day) ἐξ (after) ἡμέρας (day), ψυχὴν (in his soul) δικαίαν (righteous) ἀνόμοις (with their lawless) ἔργοις (deeds) ἐβασάνιζεν (was tormented) — ⁹ οἶδεν (then knows) Κύριος (the Lord) εὐσεβεῖς (the devout) ἐκ (out of) πειρασμοῦ (temptation) ῥύεσθαι (to deliver); ἀδίκους (the unrighteous) δὲ (then) εἰς (unto) ἡμέραν (the day) κρίσεως (of judgment) κολαζομένους (being punished) τηρεῖν (to keep);

¹⁶ Οὗτοί (These) εἰσιν (are) γογγυσταί (grumblers), μεμψίμοιροι (discontented), κατὰ (after) τὰς (the) ἐπιθυμίας (lusts) αὐτῶν (own) πορευόμενοι (following); καὶ (and) τὸ (the) στόμα (mouth) αὐτῶν (of them) λαλεῖ (speaks) ὑπέρογκα (great swelling words), θαυμάζοντες (flattering) πρόσωπα (faces) ὠφελείας (profit) χάριν (for the sake of).

⁵ Καὶ (And) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to it) στόμα (a mouth) λαλοῦν (speaking) μεγάλα (great things) καὶ (and) βλασφημίας (blasphemy); καὶ (and) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to it) ἐξουσία (authority) ποιῆσαι (to act) μῆνας (months) τεσσεράκοντα (forty) [καὶ] (and) δύο (two). ⁶ καὶ (And) ἤνοιξεν (it opened) τὸ (the) στόμα (mouth) αὐτοῦ (of it) εἰς (unto) βλασφημίας (blasphemies) πρὸς (against) τὸν (-) Θεόν (God), βλασφημῆσαι (to blaspheme) τὸ (the) ὄνομα (name) αὐτοῦ (of Him), καὶ (and) τὴν (the) σκηνὴν (tabernacle) αὐτοῦ (of Him), τοὺς (those) ἐν (in) τῷ (-) οὐρανῷ (heaven) σκηνοῦντας (dwelling).

¹¹ Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I saw) ἄλλο (another) θηρίον (beast) ἀναβαῖνον (rising) ἐκ (out of) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) εἶχεν (it had) κέρατα (horns) δύο (two) ὅμοια (like) ἀρνίῳ (a lamb), καὶ (and) ἐλάλει (it was speaking) ὡς (like) δράκων (a dragon).

¹² “Ἰδοὺ (Behold), ἔρχομαι (I am coming) ταχύ (quickly), καὶ (and) ὁ (the) μισθός (reward) μου (of Me) μετ’ (is with) ἐμοῦ (Me), ἀποδοῦναι (to give) ἑκάστῳ (to each) ὡς (as) τὸ (the) ἔργον (work) ἐστὶν (is) αὐτοῦ (his). ¹³ ἐγὼ (I am) τὸ (the) Ἄλφα (Alpha) καὶ (and) τὸ (the) Ὦ (Omega), ὁ (the) πρῶτος (First) καὶ (and) ὁ (the) ἔσχατος (Last), ἡ (the) ἀρχὴ (Beginning) καὶ (and) τὸ (the) τέλος (End).” ¹⁴ Μακάριοι (Blessed are) οἱ (those) πλύνοντες (washing) τὰς (the) στολὰς (robes) αὐτῶν (of them), ἵνα (that) ἔσται (will be) ἡ (the) ἐξουσία (right) αὐτῶν (of them) ἐπὶ (to) τὸ (the) ξύλον (tree) τῆς (-) ζωῆς (of life), καὶ (and) τοῖς (by the) πυλῶσιν (gates) εἰσέλθωσιν (they shall enter) εἰς (into) τὴν (the) πόλιν (city). ¹⁵ ἔξω (Outside are) οἱ (the) κύνες (dogs), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) φάρμακοι (sorcerers), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) πόρνοι (sexually immoral), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) φονεῖς (murderers), καὶ (and) οἱ (the) εἰδωλολάτραι (idolaters), καὶ (and) πᾶς (everyone) φιλῶν (loving) καὶ (and) ποιῶν (practicing) ψεῦδος (falsehood).

²⁰ Λέγει (Says) ὁ (the One) μαρτυρῶν (testifying) ταῦτα (these things), “Ναί (Yes), ἔρχομαι (I am coming) ταχύ (quickly).” Ἀμήν (Amen). ἔρχου (Come), Κύριε (Lord) Ἰησοῦ (Jesus)!
