John 21:15-24

Worsley(i) 15 Now when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me more than these? He saith unto Him, Yes, Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? He saith unto Him, Yes, Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee. 17 He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? Peter was grieved, that He said to him the third time, Dost thou love me? And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things, Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 18 Verily, verily I say unto thee, When thou wast younger, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst about where thou wouldest: but when thou art old, thou shalt stretch out thine hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee where thou wouldest not. 19 This He said, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when He had said this, He saith unto him, Follow me. 20 And Peter turning about seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, (and who leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that will betray Thee?) following them; 21 and upon seeing him, Peter saith to Jesus, Lord, what shall this man do? 22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he stay till I come, what is it to thee? Follow thou me. 23 This rumor therefore was spread among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: though Jesus did not say that he should not die, but--- if I will that he stay till I come, what is that to thee? 24 This is the disciple that testifieth of these things, and that writeth them: and we know that his testimony is true.
