Worrell(i)
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come;
for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, intemperate, fierce, no lovers of good,
traitors, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
holding a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from these also turn away.
For of these are those who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, and led on by manifold desires,
always learning, and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth.
And as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also do these withstand the truth; men utterly corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith.
But they will proceed no further; for their folly will be fully manifest to all, as theirs also became.
But you did closely follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience,
persecutions, sufferings; what manner of things happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord delivered me.
Yea, and all who wish to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
But evil men and imposters will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
But do you abide in the, things which you learned and were assured of; knowing from whom you learned them;
and that, from a babe, you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus.
Every Scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;
that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly furnished for every good work.
