Mark 15:42-47

Williams(i) 42 Although it was now evening, yet since it was the Preparation Day, that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a highly honored member of the council, who was himself looking for the kingdom of God, ventured to go to Pilate and ask for Jesus' body. 44 Pilate wondered whether He was dead yet, and calling the captain to him asked whether He was already dead; 45 but when he found out from the captain that He was, he gave him permission to take His body. 46 So he bought a linen sheet, then took Him down from the cross, wrapped Him in the linen sheet, and laid Him in a tomb that had been hewn out of the rock, and rolled a boulder up to the doorway of the tomb. 47 And Mary of Magdala and Mary, Joses' mother, were looking on to see where He was put.
