Matthew 18:5-9 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me.

Whiston⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁵ And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name, receiveth me. ⁶ But whoso shall afford scandal to one of these little ones who believe in me, it were better for him that a milstone were hanged about his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. ⁷ Wo unto the world because of scandals: for it must needs be that scandals come: but wo to the man by whom the scandal cometh. ⁸ Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot afford scandal to thee, cut it off; and cast it from thee: it is good for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands, or two feet, to be cast into eternal fire. ⁹ And in like manner if thine eye afford scandal to thee, pluck it out, and cast [it] from thee: it is good for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into Gehenna.
